Today, on June 9, Ukraine gave security guarantees, so DPR electricians managed to carry out repair work to two 6 kV power lines in the village of Trudovskaya Mine, Petrovsky district of Donetsk. They were damaged during the attack that Kiev militants launched back on May 25, the DPR Coal and Energy Ministry’s press service reports.

AFU shells broke down both power line supports. Some residential users, whom one of the 6 kV power lines supplied, continued getting electricity thanks to a power backup, but 160 separate houses, which get electricity from the electrical substation No. 5021, were without power all this time, people live in 50 of them, even despite the proximity to the front line.

Emergency repair teams of two power distribution zones at once, 8 units of special equipment and about 20 people were involved in the repair work.

With the support from DPR representatives to the Joint Center for Control and Coordination, OSCE Mission and the direct involvement of a rapid response team (it ensures the safety and security of electricians when they work at the line of contact or in the grey zone — editor’s note), the electricians promptly put up two new supports, restored the integrity of the lines and conducted the necessary tests. There were no acts of provocation from the Ukrainian side this time, power got back at 12:25.

Power supply in the village of Trudovskaya Mine is working normally now.
