After Vladimir Zelensky became the President of Ukraine, the situation at the delimitation line has only deteriorated, Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin claimed during the live call-in show on June 16.

“Alas, the situation has deteriorated. Heavy weapons were used three times a day during Poroshenko’s rule, it has become five times a day under Zelensky. Four people died and 55 were wounded for the last year of Poroshenko’s rule, six people died and 74 were wounded for the year of Zelensky’s rule,” he said.

Due to the deteriorating situation at the delimitation line, the DPR Head ordered that People’s Militia units be put on full alert.

“Now we can say that the situation, if not stabilized, but has returned to the period of positional confrontation. Despite the abolition of the previous level of alert, our military are instructed to return fire, that is, in the event that DPR territory is attacked, they will continue to neutralize enemy firing-points,” Denis Pushilin noted.

He also stressed that among the guarantor countries to the Minsk agreements only the Russian Federation is interested in the conflict settlement in Donbass.
