Today, on July 24, Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin took part in the solemn ceremony of conferring Russian-standard diplomas of excellence to graduates of four higher educational institutions of the Republic: Maxim Gorky Donetsk National Medical University, Donbass National Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Donetsk National University and Mikhail Tugan-Baranovsky Donetsk National University of Economics and Trade. According to the press service of the Administration of the Head of the DPR, the event was also attended by Vice Chairman of the Government Vladimir Antonov, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Education and Science of the Russian Federation Gennady Onischenko, Minister of Education and Science Mikhail Kushakov, rectors and graduates of the higher professional education establishments of the Republic.

Denis Pushilin greeted those present and stressed the importance of today’s event.

“Dear friends, conferring Russian-standard diplomas to graduates of DPR universities is a significant event for the whole Donetsk People’s Republic. This year, two thousand graduates will acquire diplomas, this is almost 3.5 times more than last year!

Four flagships of our homeland education have been accredited in the Russian Federation and confirmed their high level and compliance with educational standards. They are Gorky Donetsk National Medical University, Donbass National Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture and Mikhail Tugan-Baranovsky Donetsk National University of Economics and Trade.

Every year, qualified specialists graduate from educational institutions of the Republic, their solid grounding is noted everywhere,” the Head of the DPR emphasized.

The Head of State thanked Russia for supporting the education sector of the Republic.

“Thanks to the Russian Federation we have the opportunity to be part of the educational processes. The integration with Russia is especially evident in this sphere,” Denis Pushilin said.

The Head of the DPR congratulated the graduates, parents, the staffs of the higher education establishments and expressed his gratitude to the State Duma Committee on Education and Science of the Russian Federation for the help.

“Dear graduates, you have made colossal efforts to get these documents. Undoubtedly, it is a huge merit of both the universities’ management and the teaching staffs. The Russian-standard diplomas that you are about to acquire are the result of our longstanding endeavors and at the same time a symbol of the future.

Today you, the best graduates, are getting red diplomas of excellence. I heartily congratulate you on the completion of your studies! The red diploma is a vivid evidence of your persistence, dedication and ability to achieve goals! Let these qualities help you in the future in your career and personal life!

Dear parents of graduates, I am sure that now you are overflowing with joy. You brought up your children to be serious and responsible people and can rightfully be proud of them!

I am saying sincere words of gratitude to the managements and teaching staffs of the educational establishments! Thank you for the fact that you always generously share your rich experience with students!

For the help and support, I would like to express special gratitude to the State Duma Committee on Education and Science of the Russian Federation represented by its Chairman Vyacheslav Nikonov and First Deputy Chairman Gennady Onischenko, who is present today at this event as an honorary guest,” Denis Pushilin said.

Then the Head of State handed over the documents confirming the Russian state accreditation of educational activities to Rector of Donetsk National University Svetlana Bespalova, Rector of Donetsk National University of Economics and Trade named after Mikhail Tugan-Baranovsky Svetlana Drozhina, Rector of Donbass National Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture Nikolay Zaichenko.

Note that Gorky Donetsk National Medical University was the first higher education establishment of the Republic to be accredited by the Federal Service for the Supervision of Education and Science of the Russian Federation in 2018.

The event continued with the conferment of Russian-standard diplomas to graduates of the four higher education establishments of the Republic.
