О цели создания и принципах работы Украинского народного трибунала по расследованию военных преступлений режима Петра Порошенко против граждан Украины в интервью корреспонденту официального сайта ДНР рассказала председательствующий судья УНТ Елена Шишкина.
«Украинский народный трибунал – это закономерность, волеизъявление людей, жителей Украины начиная с 2014 года. Главная задача – фиксация и доказывание преступлений, совершенных в отношении жителей Донбасса. Почему такое название? Потому что подсудимыми являются чиновники высшего эшелона власти Украины – это Порошенко, Аваков, Яценюк, Полторак, Муженко и другие. И они совершают преступления в отношении народа Украины. Это обусловлено тем, что на сегодня ДНР и ЛНР не признаны международным сообществом», — пояснила она.
В основу работы Украинского Народного трибунала легли результаты деятельности Общественной комиссии по фиксации военных преступлений украинских властей в Донбассе. Говоря о правовых основах деятельности УНТ, Елена Шишкина подчеркнула, что трибунал рассматривает преступления по Уголовному кодексу Украины, но с учетом норм международного права.
«Сами потерпевшие и свидетели говорят, что готовы снова говорить о своем горе для того, чтобы люди вокруг знали, что происходит. Может, именно таким способом удастся остановить эту войну», — добавила председательствующий судья УНТ.
Отметим, что на сегодня трибуналом рассмотрен ряд блоков преступлений: использование вооруженных сил против мирного населения, пытки, грабежи, разбои и создание НВФ. В рамках этой работы опрошено более 50 потерпевших, свидетелей и экспертов, рассмотрены подтверждающие фото- и видеоматериалы.
Presiding judge of the Ukrainian People’s Tribunal Elena Shishkina told in an interview with a correspondent of the DPR official website about the purpose of establishment and the principles of work of the Ukrainian People’s Tribunal for investigating the war crimes of the regime of Petr Poroshenko against citizens of Ukraine.
“The Ukrainian People’s Tribunal is regularity, the will of people, residents of Ukraine, since 2014. The main task is to record and prove crimes committed against residents of Donbass. Why such a name? Because the defendants are officials of the highest echelon of the power of Ukraine — it’s Poroshenko, Avakov, Yatseniuk, Poltorak, Muzhenko and others. And they commit crimes against the nation of Ukraine, which is due to the fact that the DPR and LPR are not recognized by the international community today,” she explained.
The work of the Ukrainian People’s Tribunal was based on the results of the activities of the Public Commission on recording war crimes of the Ukrainian government in Donbass. Speaking of the legal basis of the tribunal, Elena Shishkina stressed that the tribunal considers crimes under the Criminal Code of Ukraine, but taking into account international law regulations.
“Victims and witnesses themselves say that they are ready to talk about their grief again so that people around know what is going on. Maybe this is the way to stop this war,” the presiding judge of the UPT added.
Note that for today the tribunal considered a number of blocks of crimes: the use of armed forces against civilians, torture, plunder, robbery and the creation of illegal armed groups. Within this work, over 50 victims, witnesses and experts were interviewed, supporting photo and video materials were considered.
