Сегодня, 8 мая, в канун празднования Дня Победы, на мемориальном комплексе «Саур-Могила» прошел торжественный митинг. Как сообщает корреспондент официального сайта ДНР, в митинге приняли участие Глава ДНР Александр Захарченко, заместители Председателя Совета Министров Дмитрий Трапезников, Александр Тимофеев, Екатерина Матющенко, Председатель Народного Совета ДНР Денис Пушилин, руководители министерств и ведомств, ветераны ВОВ, жители и гости Республики.

В начале мероприятий Благочинный Снежнянского округа отец Сергий и Благочинный Торезского округа отец Авраамий в храме в честь святого благоверного князя Александра Невского отслужили панихиду по погибшим солдатам ВОВ и воинам армии Республики.

После панихиды Глава Республики обратился к ветеранам и участникам митинга.

«Завтра для нас всех великий праздник, День Победы! Для нас Саур-Могила — это святое место. Здесь наши предки отстояли нашу землю от фашистской чумы. Здесь наши земляки сражались и умирали, чтобы эта чума во второй раз не пришла на нашу землю, во второй раз мы сломали хребет фашизму. Здесь полегли тысячи солдат Советской армии, здесь погибли наши родные, знакомые. Подвиг этих людей никогда не будет забыт, он будет жить в наших сердцах. Давайте почтим минутой молчания светлую память тех людей, которые погибли защищая нашу Родину. Вечная им память», — сказал Александр Захарченко.

Под троекратный оружейный салют все присутствующие почтили минутой молчания память солдат, погибших в 1943 и 2014 годах.

«Сегодня наша страна живет, строит, развивается, наши дети учатся. В это время наши братья, отцы стоят на фронте и защищают нашу мирную жизнь. Ни одна страна мира не перенесла то, что пережила Донецкая Народная Республика. Нас не сломили и нас никто и никогда не сломит. Любой враг должен помнить, что Донбасс непобедим. И я уверен, что наша страна будет жить, а мы будем процветать», — сказал Александр Захарченко.

Затем прошло возложение цветов к блоку памяти с высеченными именами воинов, погибших в районе Саур-Могилы при ее штурме в 1943 году, и к Вечному огню.

У подножия кургана прошел концерт артистов Донецкой государственной академической филармонии.
После концертной программы Глава Республики пообщался с ветеранами Великой Отечественной войны.

Today, on May 8th, on the eve of Victory Day’s celebration, a solemn meeting took place at the Saur-Mogila memorial complex. According to a correspondent of the DPR official website, Head of the DPR Alexander Zakharchenko, Deputy Chairmen of the Council of Ministers Dmitry Trapeznikov, Alexander Timofeev, Ekaterina Matyushchenko, Chairman of the DPR People’s Council Denis Pushilin, heads of ministries and agencies, veterans of the Great Patriotic War, residents and guests of the Republic participated in the meeting.

At the beginning of the events, Father Sergius, the Rural Dean of Snezhnoye Deanery, and Father Abramius, the Rural Dean of Torez Deanery, in honor of Faithful Saint Prince Alexander Nevsky held a memorial service in church for fallen soldiers of the Great Patriotic War and warriors of the Republic’s army.

After the service, the Head of the Republic addressed veterans and participants in the meeting.

“Tomorrow we are havingVictory Day,a great holiday for all of us! For us, Saur-Mogila is a sacred place. Here our ancestors defended our land from the fascist plague. Here our fellow countrymen fought and died, so that this plague for the second time did not come to our land, the second time we broke the backbone of fascism. Here thousands of soldiers of the Soviet army died, our relatives and friends were killed here. The feat of these people will never be forgotten, it will live in our hearts. Let usobserve a minute of silence in tribute to the cherished memory of those people who died defending our Motherland. May the memory of them live forever,” Alexander Zakharchenko said.

To the threefold celebratory gunfire, all those present held a moment of silence to the memory of the soldiers who died in 1943 and 2014.

“Today our country lives, builds, develops, our children learn. At this time, our brothers and fathers stand at the front and protect our peaceful life. No country in the world has had the experience of the Donetsk People’s Republic. We have not been broken and no one will ever break us. Any enemy must remember that Donbass is undefeatable. And I am sure that our country will live, and we will prosper,” Alexander Zakharchenko said.

Then flowers were laidat the memorial stone with carved names of the soldiers who died in the vicinity of Saur-Mogila when it was assaulted in 1943, and at the Eternal Flame.

Performersof the Donetsk State Academic Philharmonic Hall held a concert at the foot of the mound.

After the concert program, the Head of the Republic talked with veterans of the Great Patriotic War.
