На брифинге в Славянске спецпредставитель Госдепартамента США по Украине Курт Волкер заявил, что лучшей защитой интересов русскоязычного населения Донбасса станет вывод российских войск с оккупированной территории Украины, о чем сообщило украинское издание «Апостроф». Своим мнением по этому поводу сегодня, 16 мая, в эксклюзивном интервью корреспонденту официального сайта Донецкой Народной Республики поделилась заместитель Председателя Народного Совета ДНР Ольга Макеева.

«Слова Курта Волкера были опубликованы изданием «Апостороф», а как известно, они любят немного приукрасить и предоставлять не всегда дословную или правдивую точку зрения, особенно в переводе с английского языка. Поэтому нет смысла говорить о весе этого заявления

Даже если предположить, что был какой-либо разговор, Курт Волкер высказал свое мнение по этому поводу и оно соответствует информации, переданной украинским изданием, не стоит забывать, что он — представитель госдепа США, посланник якобы для урегулирования конфликта. Ни для кого не секрет, что главная задача Штатов не только на Украине, но и во всем мире — сеять хаос, войну и смерть с целью укрепления гегемонии США, на которую они так надеются, несмотря на то, что она уже не так весома, как раньше, благодаря взвешенной позиции России.

Даже если эта фраза была произнесена, то только с одной целью — добавить масла в огонь перед будущими переговорами и максимально накалить атмосферу. Это уже старая заезженная история Украины о том, что в Донбассе есть российские войска, никем за все время незамеченные, поэтому говорить об этом попросту нет смысла», — прокомментировала вице-спикер парламента ДНР.

At the briefing in Slavyansk, US Department of State’s Special Representative for Ukraine Kurt Volker stated that the best protection of interests of the Russian-speaking population of Donbass would be the withdrawal of Russian troops from the occupied territory of Ukraine, according to Apostrof, a Ukrainian news agency. Deputy Chairperson of the DPR People’s Council Olga Makeyeva shared her opinion concerning this matter today, on May 16th, in an exclusive interview with a correspondent of the official website of the Donetsk People’s Republic.

“To begin with, no one really heard Volker’s statement. All information on the statement was published by Apostrof, a Ukrainian news agency, and as you know, they like to embellish a little and provide not always a literal or truthful point of view, especially when translating from English. Therefore, it makes no sense to talk about the meaningfulness of this statement.

Even if we assume that there was talk whatsoever, Kurt Volker expressed his opinion on this matter and it corresponds to the information provided by the Ukrainian news agency, we should remember that he is a representative of the US State Department, an envoy allegedly to settle the conflict. It is not a secret that the main task of the US, not only in Ukraine but throughout the world, is to wreak the havoc, war and death in order to strengthen the US hegemony, which they so rely on, despite the fact that it is no longer so weighty as before thanks to the reasonable position of Russia.

Even if this phrase was uttered, that was done only with one purpose — add fuel to the controversy before future negotiations and inflame the atmosphere as much as possible. This is the old, worn-out story by Ukraine about the Russian troops in Donbass that no one has ever seen, so there’s simply no point in talking about that,” the vice-speaker of the DPR parliament commented.
