В «Донбасс Опера» продолжается церемония прощания с командиром батальона «Пятнашка» ПСН МО ДНР Олегом Мамиевым. Отдать дань памяти герою приходят сослуживцы «Мамая» и простые дончане. О том, каким был комбат, журналистам рассказал его боевой товарищ, Герой ДНР Ахра Авидзба («Абхаз»).

«Олег был достойным воином, примером для подражания. Мы дружим семьями, поэтому могу сказать, что он был любящим отцом, успел даже стать дедушкой. 16 мая его сыну исполнился год, но 17-го он все равно был с ребятами на позициях», — рассказал он.

По словам «Абхаза», Олег Мамиев с самого начала проявлял незаурядный военный талант. Это и стало главной причиной его назначения командиром легендарной «Пятнашки».

«Мы понимали, что нужен «стержень», который соберет вокруг себя шахтеров, добровольцев и остальную разностороннюю публику, которая служит в нашем подразделении. И сделали вывод, что это будет делать Олег. Он с честью справился с этой задачей», — отметил Ахра Авидзба.

Напомним, 17 мая Олег Мамиев проводил ротацию своих бойцов в Авдеевской промзоне. В результате обстрела ВСУ из АГС командир получил тяжелые осколочные ранения. Граната (ВОГ-15) разорвалась прямо у него над головой. Врачи несколько часов боролись за его жизнь, но ранения оказались несовместимы с жизнью.

His comrade-in-arms, Hero of the DPR Akhra Avidzba (nom de guerre Abkhaz) told reporters what the battalion commander was like.

“Oleg was a worthy warrior, an example to follow. Our families were on friendly terms, so I can say that he was a devoted father, he even managed to become a grandfather. On the 16th of May his son turned a year, but on May 17th he still was with the guys on-site,” he told.

According to Abkhaz, Oleg Mamiyev from the very beginning showed an outstanding military talent. This was the main reason for his appointment as the commander of the legendary Pyatnashka.

“We realized that we needed a “core” that would bring together miners, volunteers and the rest of the versatile public that serves in our unit. And they concluded that Oleg would do this. He fulfilled this task with honor,” Akhra Avidzba noted.

Recall, on May 17th, Oleg Mamiyev was conducting rotation of his soldiers at the Avdeyevka industrial zone. Due to the AFU’s attack with AGS, the commander got serious shrapnel wounds. A grenade launcher fragmentation round (VOG-15) exploded right over his head. Doctors fought for his life for several hours, but the wounds were fatal.
