Сегодня, 23 мая, прошла видеоконференция рабочей группы по вопросам безопасности. Итоги видеоконференции прокомментировал постоянный полномочный представитель ДНР на переговорах Контактной группы в Минске Денис Пушилин.
«Рабочая группа по вопросам безопасности обсудила сегодня в режиме видеоконференции ситуацию, сложившуюся вокруг Донецкой фильтровальной станции, а также дополнительные меры контроля за соблюдением режима прекращения огня. Среди мер, которые могли бы снизить напряженность, в первую очередь считаем разведение сил и средств. Основной причиной эскалации напряженности вокруг станции является стремление украинской стороны взять под контроль стратегически важный объект жизнеобеспечения для использования в качестве очередного инструмента блокады Донбасса.
С января 2017 года ВСУ постепенно приблизили свои позиции с расстояния в 1,5 км от станции до 70-150 метров. Сегодня противоборствующие стороны могут видеть друг друга невооруженным глазом, отсюда и постоянные провокации, обстрелы и обострение. Но самое главное, что от стабильной работы ДФС зависит благополучие полумиллиона получателей воды по обе стороны от линии фронта.
Однако ни важность обеспечения водой мирного населения, ни угрозы экологической катастрофы в случае попадания снарядов в хлорохранилище не склонили украинскую сторону к конструктивному диалогу. Украинская сторона отвергает идею разведения сил вокруг станции. Обсуждение ситуации вокруг ДФС продолжится в рабочем порядке», — отметил Денис Пушилин.

Today, the opposing sides can see each other with the naked eye, hence the constant provocations, shelling and escalation. But the most important thing is that the well-being of half a million recipients of water on both sides of the front line depends on the stable operation of the DFS.
However, neither the importance of providing water to the civilian population nor the threat of an ecological catastrophe in the event of shells falling into a chlorine storage facility has persuaded the Ukrainian side into a constructive dialogue.
