Не так давно официальными представителями Вооруженных Сил ДНР были опубликованы данные о нахождении в рядах ВСУ не только иностранных наемников, но и т.н. охотников за головами — богатых иностранцев, приезжающих в Донбасс «на охоту», ради ярких впечатлений, полученных от убийства людей — как военнослужащих, так и мирных жителей. Естественно, что украинские и европейские СМИ выступили с категоричными отрицательными заявлениями. Ситуацию прокомментировал сербский доброволец, снайпер, капитан ВС ДНР Деян Берич («Деки»).
«Впервые я встретился с этим явлением в 2014 году в районе Скотоватой и Пантелеймоновки. Там по бойцам из бригады «Восток» и гражданским лицам стреляли украинские снайперы, как они считали, из дальнобойных винтовок. Когда я осмотрел позиции, то понял, что ничего не смогу сделать, пришлось зайти в тыл противника и ждать снайперов при возвращении. Я увидел двух человек в необычной камуфляжной одежде. Потом по документам выяснилось, что это два финна, довольно состоятельных, которым не нужно ехать и воевать за деньги. Они сами заплатили за то, чтобы приехать сюда «на охоту».
Сейчас же, за последние двадцать дней, пришла информация, что сюда зашли восемь групп по два человека из Германии. Один снайпер, другой наблюдатель, второй номер. У них очень хорошее снаряжение и вооружение, винтовки «Маузер» калибра 7,92 мм.
В феврале здесь была группа американских и немецких «охотников». Не бойцов, а именно людей, которые приехали поохотиться. Они погибли в районе Горловки, а в отместку за это наши позиции потом обстреливали 2,5 часа. В общем, такое происходит постоянно», — рассказал Деян Берич.
