Накануне саммита НАТО в Брюсселе президент США Дональд Трамп заявил, что европейские страны–члены альянса должны увеличить расходы на оборону до 4% ВВП. Возможные последствия такого шага в интервью корреспонденту официального сайта ДНР прокомментировал руководитель парламентской фракции ОД «ДР» Александр Костенко.
«Конечно же, это опасно. Особенно учитывая информацию о новых вооружениях Российской Федерации, неуязвимых ракетах, которые в любом случае достигают цели. В связи с этим США пытаются что-то предпринять, но они очень отстают в развитии, на десятки лет. Также эти действия призваны показать, «кто в НАТО хозяин», — подчеркнул депутат.
Говоря о перспективах реализации решения об увеличении расходов, парламентарий отметил, что на сегодня страны Европы не только сомневаются в целесообразности таких действий, но и кулуарно рассматривают возможность выхода из Альянса.

“Of course, this is dangerous. Especially, given the information on the new armaments of the Russian Federation, invulnerable missiles, which in any case reach their target. In this regard, the US is trying to do something, but they are very lagging behind in development, for dozens of years. Also these actions are designed to show «who rules over NATO,” the deputy emphasized.
Speaking about the prospects for implementing the decision to increase spending, the parliamentarian noted that today the countries of Europe not only doubt the expediency of such actions, but they also consider the possibility of secession from the Alliance.
