В Центре славянской культуры прошло торжественное мероприятие, посвященное всенародному празднику — Дню народного единства. В нем приняли участие врио Главы ДНР Денис Пушилин, депутаты Народного Совета, жители Донецка — представители различных национальностей. Об этом сегодня, 4 ноября, сообщает корреспондент официального сайта Донецкой Народной Республики.

«Сегодня мы празднуем День народного единства. Это новый для нас праздник. В официальных заявлениях мы часто слышим: «братский народ России», «братская Россия». Я считаю, это неправильно. Потому что мы — живая часть Русского мира, мы — часть России. Скажу больше: мы — Россия! Мы ничем не отличаемся от жителей Москвы, Новосибирска, Ялты и Кемерово, Севастополя и Санкт-Петербурга. Донбасс и Россия — одной крови! Донбасс и Россия — одно целое!

Это единство прошло проверку упорным трудом сотни поколений, беспримерным подвигом и героизмом сынов нашей Родины. За годы существования Донецкой Народной Республики мы показали всему миру, что можем сохранять согласие между разными народами, уважаем и чтим традиции наших предков, ценим талант и трудолюбие всех народов, живущих в нашем общем доме.

Друзья! Земляки! Сегодня мы сильны и готовы двигаться вперед, готовы сохранить завоевания нашей Родины. Главный выбор всей нашей жизни мы уже сделали. Теперь настал черед выбора той дороги, того пути, который позволит нам завершить начатое. И я убежден, у нас все получится! Нас не сломила война, не испугала угроза физического уничтожения. Мы непобедимы, потому что сильны духом и уверены в себе. Потому что за нами правда. Нас ничто не остановит и не сломит. Наш путь вместе с народом России. Только вместе и только вперед! Наша сила в единстве тех целей, к которым мы стремимся», — обратился к присутствующим врио Главы ДНР Денис Пушилин.

По завершении торжественной части в честь праздника для жителей города прошел праздничный концерт популярных российских исполнителей Юлии Плаксиной и группы «Кватро».

The Center of Slavic Culture hosted a solemn event dedicated to the national holiday, Day of People’s Unity. Interim Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin, deputies of the People’s Council, residents of Donetsk — representatives of various nationalities — visited it. A correspondent of the official website of the Donetsk People’s Republic reports this today, on November 4th.

“Today we celebrate Day of People’s Unity. This is a new holiday for us. From official statements, we often hear, ‘the fraternal people of Russia’, ‘fraternal Russia’. I think this is wrong. Because we are a living part of the Russian world, we are a part of Russia. I will say more: we are Russia! We are no different from residents of Moscow, Novosibirsk, Yalta and Kemerovo, Sevastopol and St. Petersburg. Donbass and Russia are one blood! Donbass and Russia are one!

This unity was tested by hard work of hundreds of generations, an unparalleled feat and heroism of sons of our Motherland. Over the years of the existence of the Donetsk People’s Republic, we have shown the entire world that we can maintain harmony between different nations, respect and honor the traditions of our ancestors, appreciate the talent and diligence of all the nations living in our common home.

Friends! Countrymen! Today we are strong and ready to move forward, ready to save the achievements of our Motherland. We have already made the main choice of our life. Now it is time to choose the way, the path that will let us finish what we have begun. And I am sure we will succeed! The war has not broken us, the threat of physical destruction has not frightened us. We are invincible because we are stouthearted and self-confident. Because we have the truth backing us. Nothing can stop or break us. We follow one path with the nation of Russia. Only together and only forward! Our strength lies in the unity of the goals we strive for,” interim Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin addressed the audience.

At the end of the solemn part in celebration of the holiday, there was a concert featuring popular Russian performers Yulia Plaksina and the band Kvatro for residents of the city.
