Сегодня, 14 ноября, во время пресс-конференции в Донецке врио Главы ДНР Денис Пушилин ответил на вопрос журналистов: есть ли шанс, что международные страны признают выборы, прошедшие в Республике 11 ноября? Об этом сообщает корреспондент официального сайта ДНР.
«Попытки со стороны Украины и стран Запада сорвать выборы, призывы бойкотировать их не увенчались успехом. Выборы в Республике состоялись, явка была действительно большой. Если честно, мы не ожидали такой явки, по самым оптимистичным прогнозам, ожидали около 60-70 %. Но наши жители оказались гораздо более сознательными.
Тем не менее, рассчитывать и испытывать какие-то иллюзии по поводу признания со стороны стран Запада мы бы не спешили. Потому что это очень сложный вопрос для стран Запада в плане признания себя тогда виновными. В том, что они поддержали Украину. Признание со стороны стран Запада наших выборов – это придание Республикам некой легитимности. Соответственно, они бы признали себя виновными в обстрелах, уничтожении населения Донбасса. И тогда их риторика в отношении России оказалась бы просто беспочвенной, санкции бы пришлось отменять. Поэтому мы не ждали признания со стороны Запада.
При этом большое количество международных наблюдателей из 14 стран смогли убедиться в прозрачности выборов, демократичности всех процессов, которые происходят в Республике. Это действительно значимо.
Но самое главное – это выбор нашего народа. Это действительно заслуживает внимания, так как мы понимаем, что идем правильным курсом», — отметил Денис Пушилин.

“Ukraine and Western countries’ attempts to thwart the elections, the calls to boycott them, have failed. The elections took place in the Republic, the turnout was really great. To be honest, we did not expect such a turnout, according to the most optimistic forecasts, we expected about 60-70%. But our residents turned out to be much more conscious.
Nevertheless, we would not be in a hurry to count on or experience any illusions about recognition from the Western countries. Because this is a very difficult question for Western countries in terms of pleading guilty then. That they supported Ukraine. Recognition of our elections from the countries of the West would give the Republic some legitimacy. Accordingly, they would plead guilty to the shelling and extermination of the population of Donbass. And then their rhetoric against Russia would be just groundless, they would have to lift the sanctions. Therefore, we did not expect recognition from the West.
At the same time, a large number of international observers from 14 countries were able to fully realize the transparency of the elections, the democratic nature of all the processes taking place in the Republic. This is really important.
But the most important thing is the choice of our people. It really deserves attention, since we understand that we are following the right course,” Denis Pushilin emphasized.
