Заседание Контактной группы в Минске началось, несмотря на попытки саботажа со стороны украинских представителей — МИД ДНР / The Contact Group’s meeting in Minsk has begun, despite the sabotage attempts from Ukrainian representatives — DPR Foreign Ministry

В Минске началось заседание Контактной группы. Как сообщает пресс-служба МИД ДНР, несмотря на попытки украинской стороны саботировать работу некоторых рабочих групп демонстративным протестом против участия представителей Республик в переговорном процессе, заседания состоялись, на обсуждение Контактной группы вынесены основные вопросы:

— политическая подгруппа продолжит обсуждать базовые вопросы имплементации формулы Штайнмайера как механизма вступления в силу закона об особом статусе и предоставления амнистии, которая является одним из элементов этого закона;

— на повестке рабочей группы по гуманитарным вопросам – ряд практических вопросов, касающихся обмена пленными, поиска пропавших без вести, а также непрекращающихся нарушений украинской стороной основополагающих прав человека на жизнь и свободу;

— в работе подгруппы по экономическим вопросам наиважнейшими темами остаются введение механизма выплаты пенсий, задолженность Украины работникам железной дороги, а также восстановление полноценной работы мобильного оператора связи Vodafone;

— в рамках работы подгруппы по вопросам безопасности основными темами для обсуждения станут последствия нарушений украинской стороной режима прекращения огня, согласование пакета дополнительных мер усиления и контроля перемирия, а также возобновление обязательств сторон по выполнению Рамочного решения по разведению сил и средств.

The Contact Group has started a meeting in Minsk. According to the press service of the DPR Foreign Ministry, despite the Ukrainian party’s attempts to sabotage the work of some working groups with their demonstrative protest against the involvement of representatives of the Republics in the negotiation process, the meetings have taken place and the following main issues are submitted for discussion to the Contact Group:

— the political subgroup will continue to discuss the basic issues of implementation of Steinmeier’s formula, as a mechanism for the entry-into-force of the law on the special status, and the granting of the amnesty, which is one of the points of this law;

— the agenda of the working group for humanitarian issues includes a number of practical issues relating to the exchange of war prisoners, the search for missing persons, as well as the continuing violations by the Ukrainian side of the fundamental human rights to life and liberty;

— the work of the economic subgroup, among the most important topics, involvesintroducing a pension payment mechanism, paying off the debt of Ukraine to the railway employees, as well as restoring the full-fledged work of Vodafone mobile communications provider;

— within the framework of the subgroup for security issues, the main topics for discussion will be the consequences of cease-fire violations by the Ukrainian side, coordination of a package of additional measures to enhance and control the armistice, as well as renewed obligations of the parties to implement the Framework Decision on withdrawal of forces and armaments.
