Сегодня, 8 мая, на площадке мемориального комплекса «Саур-Могила» прошёл Республиканский митинг, посвященный 74-й годовщине Победы советского народа в Великой Отечественной войне 1941-1945 годов. Как сообщает корреспондент официального сайта Донецкой Народной Республики, чтобы почтить память героев войны, здесь собрались почти 10 000 человек. В мероприятии также приняли участие Глава ДНР Денис Пушилин, Председатель Народного Совета Владимир Бидёвка, парламентарии, руководители министерств и ведомств, ветераны Великой Отечественной войны.

«Дорогие земляки, уважаемые ветераны! Позвольте поздравить вас с Великой Победой!

Саур-Могила для нас — священное место. Это курган, который полит кровью наших предков и наших современников. Мы прекрасно осознаем цену их подвига. Это подвиг, который в 1943 году и совсем недавно — в 2014-м — определял, быть Донбассу или нет. Я считаю, что Донбасс навсегда очистился от нацизма. Мы всегда ценили и ценим свое Отечество. Мы никогда не забудем подвиги тех, кто бился до последнего и погибал за нашу землю, за нашу жизнь и свободу. Вечная благодарность и память героям!» — сказал Глава ДНР Денис Пушилин.

В ходе мероприятия в часовне Святого благоверного князя Александра Невского, у подножия Саур-Могилы, прошла траурная панихида в честь павших за веру и Отечество, которую провел владыка Варсонофий, епископ Новоазовский.

Под троекратный оружейный салют собравшиеся почтили минутой молчания память погибших в годы Великой Отечественной войны и во время защиты Саур-Могилы в 2014 году.

Today, on May 8th, a Republic rally took place on the platform of the Saur-Mogila memorial complex, dedicated to the 74th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. According to a correspondent of the official website of the Donetsk People’s Republic, almost ten thousand people gathered there to honor the memory of the war heroes. The event was also attended by Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin, Chairman of the People’s Council Vladimir Bidyovka, parliamentarians, heads of ministries and agencies, veterans of the Great Patriotic War.

“Dear countrymen, dear veterans! Let me congratulate you on the Great Victory!

Saur-Mogila is a sacred place to us. This is a mound that is shed with the blood of our ancestors and our contemporaries. We are well aware of the price of their feat. This was the feat that in 1943 and, most recently, in 2014, determined whether Donbass would exist or not. I believe that Donbass has been forever cleansed of Nazism. We have always appreciated and appreciate our Fatherland. We will never forget the feats of those who fought to the last and died for our land, for our life and freedom. Eternal gratitude and memory to the heroes!” Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin said.

During the event, in the chapel of Holy Prince Alexander Nevsky, at the foot of Saur-Mogila, Bishop of Novoazovsk, His Grace Varsonofy performed a memorial service to honor those who died for the faith and Fatherland.

After a triple gun salute, those present observed a minute of silence in the memory of those who died during the Great Patriotic War and in the defense of Saur-Mogila in 2014.
