Жители Донецкой Народной Республики сегодня, 9 Мая, прошли с портретами своих родственников-фронтовиков, тружеников тыла, узников концлагерей, детей войны, воинов-интернационалистов и героев войны в Донбассе в колонне «Бессмертного полка». Как сообщает корреспондент официального сайта ДНР, в столице Республики колонна формировалась возле здания бывшего Минугля и собрала рекордное количество участников шествия.
«В 2018 году в гражданско-патриотической акции «Бессмертный полк» приняло участие более 72 тысяч человек, а в этом году количество участников акции возросло примерно до ста тысяч, что является рекордным показателем. Всего по Республике этот показатель превосходит 115 тысяч человек. В этом году почти в два раза увеличилось количество звонков на горячую линию акции «Бессмертный полк», что показывает актуальность и значимость этой акции для нашего народа, а также его патриотизм и гражданскую позицию.
Сегодня акцию «Бессмертный полк» открыл Кадетский корпус, затем Академия МЧС ДНР и студенты ДАВД МВД, а после прошла колонна, где граждане нашей Республики пронесли портреты героев-фронтовиков. Портрет первого Главы ДНР Александра Захарченко также прошел в колонне «Бессмертного полка», — подчеркнул организатор акции, депутат Народного Совета ДНР Кирилл Макаров.
Колона «Бессмертного полка» прошла по центральной улице Донецка до монумента «Твоим освободителям, Донбасс!», где состоялся митинг, посвященный 74-й годовщине Победы в Великой Отечественной войне.
Today, on May 9th, residents of the Donetsk People’s Republic marched with portraits of their relatives, war veterans, homefront workers, concentration camp prisoners, children of war, internationalist warriors and war heroes of Donbass in the procession of the Immortal Regiment. According to a correspondent of the DPR official website, in the capital of the Republic the procession was being formed near the former building of the Ministry of Coal and gathered a record number of the marchers.
“In 2018, more than 72 thousand people took part in the civil patriotic Immortal Regiment action, and this year the number of participants in the action increased up to about one hundred thousand, which is a record number. In total throughout the Republic this number exceeds 115 thousand people. This year, the number of calls to the Immortal Regiment hotline has almost doubled, which shows the relevance and significance of this action to our people, as well as their patriotism and civic stance.
Today, the Cadet Corps opened the Immortal Regiment action, then Academy of Emergency Situations of the DPR and students of Donetsk Academy of Internal Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and then a procession went where citizens of our Republic carried portraits of front-line heroes. The portrait of first Head of the DPR Alexander Zakharchenko was also in the procession of the Immortal Regiment,” the organizer of the action, deputy of the People’s Council of the DPR Kirill Makarov stressed.
The Immortal Regiment procession went through the central street of Donetsk to the monument “To Your Liberators, Donbass!”, where was a rally dedicated to the 74th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
