В Иловайске прошли праздничные мероприятия, приуроченные к 150-летию основания города. Как сообщает корреспондент официального сайта Донецкой Народной Республики, в целях увековечения памяти погибших при защите ДНР, за мужество, стойкость и массовый героизм, проявленные защитниками города, Указом Главы ДНР Иловайску было присвоено почетное звание «Город воинской славы».
Особый подарок иловайчанам был преподнесен участниками Международной волонтерской группы «Москва – Донбасс». Это икона Св. Пантелеймона, вырезанная из дуба в мастерской Ивана Богомаза. Она была доставлена из Брянска (РФ).
«Я надеюсь, что эта икона будет охранять вас, защищать и станет православным щитом для жителей вашего города», — сказала руководитель группы «Москва – Донбасс», член «Землячества донбассовцев Москвы» Елена Романенко.
Celebrations dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the foundation of the town took place in Ilovaysk. Memvers of the International volunteer group Moscow – Donbass presented a special gift to the residents of Ilovaisk. This is the icon of St. Panteleimon, carved from oak in the workshop of Ivan Bogomaz. She was delivered from Bryansk (Russia).
“I hope that this icon will protect you, defend and become an Orthodox shield for the residents of your town,” said Elena Romanenko, the head of the Moscow – Donbass group, a member of the Moscow association of Donbass fellow-countrymen.
