В Киевском районе города Донецка 6 сентября возле монумента «Не вернувшимся в редакции» прошла Линейка памяти, посвященная 76-й годовщине освобождения Донбасса от немецко-фашистских захватчиков и Международному дню солидарности журналистов. Как сообщает корреспондент официального сайта ДНР, отдать дань уважения бойцам за правду с оружием и блокнотом, ручкой и фотоаппаратом в руках, защищавшим свое Отечество от врага, пришли как ветераны журналистики Донбасса, так и юные журналисты с профильной кафедры ДонНУ. Студенты держали в своих руках портреты журналистов-участников Великой Отечественной войны, создав таким образом «Бессмертный полк» работников СМИ Донбасса.

«От имени депутатов Народного Совета Донецкой Народной Республики хочу сердечно поздравить вас с наступающим светлым и очень важным и значительным праздником — Днем освобождения родного Донбасса от немецко-фашистских захватчиков. Отмечая этот славный день, обязательно вспомним имена тех, кто был честью, совестью, отважно выполнял свой профессиональный долг, кто отдал жизнь за информационную правду и справедливость. Во все времена работа журналистов была ответственной, сложной, сопряженной с опасностью для жизни, особенно в военное время. И примером мужества, стойкости и героизма были журналисты, воевавшие в годы Великой Отечественной войны. Они плечом к плечу шли вместе с советскими солдатами и первыми сообщали мирному населению о победах на фронтах. Недаром среди журналистов Донбасса 5 удостоены высокого звания «Герой Советского Союза», — заявила во время Линейки памяти заместитель Председателя Народного Совета ДНР Ольга Макеева.

Она подчеркнула, что не меньшим уважением пользуются и нынешняя смена борцов за правду. «Благодаря им весь мир узнал о той трагедии, которая произошла в Донбассе уже в новейшей истории. Рядом с бойцами, под разрывами снарядов и под пулями современных нацистов, журналисты вели и ведут свои репортажи, сообщая миру правду. К сожалению, многим из них это стоило жизни. Вечная память тем, кто с честью и совестью выполнял свой профессиональный и человеческий долг!» — сказала она.

Ольга Макеева обратилась к молодым людям, делающих сегодня свои первые шаги в журналистике, — студентам Донецкого национального университета. «Искренне желаю, чтобы в своей профессиональной деятельности вы были достойны памяти своих предшественников», — отметила она.

Заместитель министра информации ДНР Артем Ольхин обратил внимание молодых коллег на важность не просто вспоминать о героях, но и стараться сохранить непрерывную духовную связь с нашими героическими предками. «Они в свое время сделали все, что от них требовалось, — зашитили свою Родину с оружием в руках, с блокнотом и фотоаппаратом. Мы должны быть готовы к этому в любой момент!» — сказал он.

По словам председателя Союза журналистов ДНР Виктора Петренко, журналисты тех времен оставили о себе добрую память у людей своими репортажами, фотографиями.

После минуты молчания участники Линейки памяти возложили живые цветы к монументу «Не вернувшимся в редакции».

A Commemorative Assembly dedicated to the 76th anniversary of the liberation of Donbass from the Nazi invaders and the International Day of Journalists’ Solidarity was held on September 6th in Kievsky district of Donetsk near the monument to Those Who Never Returned to Editorial Offices. According to a correspondent of the DPR official website, both veterans of journalism of Donbass and young journalists from DonNU’s specialized department came to pay homage to the fighters for the truth who with a weapon and a notebook, a pen and a camera in their hands were defending their Fatherland from the enemy. The students were holding portraits of journalists-veterans of the Great Patriotic War in their hands, thus creating the Immortal Regiment of Donbass media workers.

“On behalf of deputies of the People’s Council of the Donetsk People’s Republic, I want to heartily congratulate you on the upcoming bright and very important and significant holiday — the Day of the liberation of our native Donbass from the Nazi invaders. Celebrating this glorious day, we will definitely recall the names of those who with honor, conscientiously and courageously fulfilled their professional duty, who gave their lives for the informational truth and justice. In all times, the job of journalists was responsible, complex, fraught with danger to life, especially in wartime. And an example of courage, perseverance and heroism were the journalists who fought during the Great Patriotic War. They walked shoulder to shoulder with Soviet soldiers and were the first to inform the civilian population of victories on the fronts. It’s not without reason that among the journalists of Donbass 5 of them were awarded the high title of Hero of the Soviet Union,” Deputy Chairperson of the DPR People’s Council Olga Makeyeva stated during the commemorative assembly.

She emphasized that contemporary fighters for the truth are held in no less respect. “Thanks to them, the whole world learned about the tragedy that happened in Donbass already in the contemporary history. Near the fighters, under the explosions of shells and under the bullets of the modern Nazis, journalists conducted and conduct their reporting, telling the world the truth. Unfortunately, it cost many of them their lives. Eternal memory to those who with honor and conscience fulfilled their professional and human duty!” she said.

Olga Makeyeva addressed the young people who are taking their first steps in journalism today — students of Donetsk National University. “I sincerely hope that you will be worthy of the memory of your predecessors in your professional activity,” she noted.

Deputy minister of information of the DPR Artyom Olkhin drew the attention of the young colleagues to the importance of not just remembering the heroes, but also trying to maintain a continuous spiritual ties with our heroic ancestors. “They at one time did everything that was required of them — they defended their Homeland with weapons in their hands, with a notebook and a camera. We must be ready for this at any moment!” he said.

According to chairman of the Union of Journalists of the DPR Viktor Petrenko, the journalists of those times left a good memory of themselves with their reports and photographs.

After a minute of silence, participants in the Commemorative Assembly laid fresh flowers at the monument to Those Who Never Returned to Editorial Offices.
