На легендарном кургане Саур-Могила утром 7 сентября состоялся митинг, посвященный 76-й годовщине освобождения Донецкого края от немецко-фашистских захватчиков. Как сообщает корреспондент официального сайта ДНР, начался он с панихиды в память погибших воинов у иконы «Нерушимая стена» в храме-часовне благоверного князя Александра Невского у подножия кургана.

Провел ее епископ Новоазовский Варсонофий. Он поздравил всех с великим праздником для всей Донецкой земли. «Собрались мы здесь по зову сердца. Призываю всех помолиться за тех, кто когда-то защищал Отечество, кто сейчас защищает его, чтобы Господь даровал мир им и нашей святой земле», — сказал он. Затем в часовне были поставлены поминальные свечи погибшим воинам.

В митинге приняли участие более пяти тысяч жителей со всей нашей Республики. Глава Донецкой Народной Республики Денис Пушилин, Председатель Правительства ДНР Александр Ананченко, Председатель Народного Совета ДНР Владимир Бидёвка, представители городов и районов Республики возложили цветы у Блока Памяти у подножия и у захоронений бойцов ополчения на вершине кургана. Также они лично поздравили ветеранов с праздником.

«Поздравляю всех с большим для нас праздником — Днём освобождения Донбасса! 76 лет назад взятие именно этого легендарного кургана стало переломным моментом — с этого времени началось изгнание немецко-фашистских захватчиков с Донецкой земли. Кровопролитные бои, огромное количество погибших, но, тем не менее, Победа и свободный Донбасс! Наш священный долг — помнить героизм и подвиг наших дедов и прадедов, освободивших Донбасс во время Великой Отечественной войны. Также мы должны передать последующим поколениям память о них и, конечно, передать веру в свою землю, свою Родину», — заявил во время митинга Глава Донецкой Народной Республики Денис Пушилин.

Он предложил присутствующим почтить память погибших воинов минутой молчания.

«Через десятилетия нашу землю довелось защищать и нынешним поколениям. Безусловно, примером отваги, мужества, любви к своей земле для них стал подвиг наших дедов и прадедов. С той неистовой настойчивостью, с которой защищали нашу землю нынешние ее защитники, можно с уверенностью сказать, что мы — потомки победителей, достойны памяти легендарных наших предков. Уверен, что их мы будем помнить всегда!» — подчеркнул Глава ДНР.

Во время восхождения к вершине Саур-Могилы около 600 участников военно-патриотического движения «Молодая Гвардия — Юнармия» выстроились в шеренгу с фотографиями погибших при обороне данной высоты в 1943 и 2014 годах. Для участников митинга был дан концерт.

I urge everyone to pray for those who once defended the Fatherland, who now defend it, so that the Lord grants peace to them and our sacred land,” he said. Then, memorial candle were put in the chapel to the fallen warriors.

More than five thousand residents from all over our Republic attended the rally. Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin, Chairman of the DPR Government Aleksandr Ananchenko, Chairman of the People’s Council of the DPR Vladimir Bidyovka, representatives of cities and districts of the Republic laid flowers at the Memory Block at the foot and burials of militia soldiers on the top of the mound. They also personally congratulated the veterans on the holiday.

“I congratulate everyone on our great holiday, the Day of the Liberation of Donbass! 76 years ago, the seizure of this particular legendary mound was a turning point, then the exile of the Nazi invaders from the Donetsk land began. Bloody battles, a huge number of dead, but, nevertheless, Victory and free Donbass! Our sacred duty is to remember the heroism and feat of our grandfathers and great-grandfathers who liberated the Donbass during the Great Patriotic War. We must also pass on the memory of them to future generations and, of course, pass on the faith in our land, our Motherland,” Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin stated during the rally.

He proposed those present to honor the memory of the fallen soldiers with a minute of silence.

“After decades, the current generations have had to defend our land. Of course, the feat of our grandfathers and great-grandfathers became an example of courage, bravery, love for their land to them. With the fierce persistence with which our current defenders protected our land, we can confidently say that we, the descendants of the victors, are worthy of the memory of our legendary ancestors. I am sure that we will always remember them” the Head of the DPR stated.

During the ascent to the top of Saur-Mogila, about 600 members of the Young Guard-Yunarmiya military-patriotic movement lined up with photos of those who fell in the defense of this height in 1943 and 2014. A concert was performed for participants in the rally.
