На центральной площади имени Ленина в Донецке сейчас, 25 октября, начался торжественный митинг в честь Дня Флага Донецкой Народной Республики. Как сообщает корреспондент официального сайта ДНР, участниками многотысячного митинга являются активисты общественного движения «Донецкая Республика», представители трудовых коллективов города, молодежь Республики, юнармейцы. Они в руках держат государственные флаги ДНР и Российской Федерации.

Государственный флаг ДНР является официальным государственным символом Донецкой Народной Республики. Он представляет собой прямоугольное полотнище из трёх равновеликих горизонтальных полос: верхней — чёрного, средней — синего и нижней — красного цветов.

В центре площади имени Ленина установлена сцена, на которой ожидается выступление официальных лиц. Кульминацией праздника станет торжественное поднятие над площадью самого большого флага ДНР.

In central Lenin Square of the city of Donetsk, on October 25th, a festive rally dedicated to Flag Day of the Donetsk People’s Republic has begun. According to a correspondent of the DPR official website, among many thousands of participants in the rally there are activists of the Donetsk Republic Public Movement, representatives of the city’s labor collectives, the youth of the Republic, and members of Yunarmiya. They are holding the national flags of the DPR and the Russian Federation.

The National Flag of the DPR is the official national symbol of the Donetsk People’s Republic. It is a rectangular cloth of three equal-sized horizontal stripes: the upper one is black, the middle one is blue and the lower one is red.

In the center of Lenin Square, there is a scene where officials are going to make their speech. The culmination of the holiday will be a solemn hoisting of the largest flag of the Donetsk People’s Republic over the square.
