В Международный день освобождения узников фашистских концлагерей, 11 апреля, возле монумента «Жертвам фашизма» и Поклонного креста в память расстрелянных фашистами пяти подпольщиц города Сталино в Ленинском районе Донецка состоялся митинг-реквием. Как сообщает корреспондент официального сайта ДНР, его участники почтили минутой молчания память жертв фашистских концлагерей и возложили цветы к монументу и Поклонному кресту.

«Сегодня мы с болью в сердце переворачиваем черные страницы памяти нашего народа. Для Донбасса это особая дата. Тысячи узников были убиты фашистами в концлагерях Донецка, Тореза, Снежного, Макеевки, Шахтерска. Несмотря на все пытки фашистов, наш народ боролся — за жизнь, за Родину, за Победу. Люди сплотились — как сегодня сплотились мы снова для борьбы с фашизмом. И мы обязательно победим!», — отметила во время митинга депутат Народного Совета ДНР Марина Жейнова.

Как сообщил руководитель общественной организации «Молодая Республика», депутат Народного Совета ДНР Кирилл Макаров, сегодня в рамках проекта «Эхо времен» общественного движения «Донецкая Республика» активисты возложили живые цветы к этим памятных местам. «Мы, жители Донбасса, как никто другой, понимаем важность этой даты. Миллионы советских граждан погибли в концентрационных лагерях, созданных фашистами. Мы должны помнить о погибших наших граждан», — сказал он. Кирилл Макаров рассказал, что в преддверии великого праздника — Дня Победы 9 Мая — активисты ОО «Молодая Республика» и ОД «Донецкая Республика» будут заниматься организацией Республиканской гражданско-патриотической акции «Бессмертный полк», в городах и районах Республики будут оказывать помощь ветеранам Великой Отечественной войны, участвовать в благоустройстве братских могил, монументов и памятников советским воинам.

По словам председателя Донецкой городской организации ветеранов Валерия Белозерцева, на сегодняшний день в столице Республики проживают 250 бывших узников фашистских концлагерей.

And we will definitely win!” deputy of the DPR People’s Council Marina Zheynova emphasized during the rally.

According to the head of the Young Republic public organization, deputy of the DPR People’s Council Kirill Makarov, today, in the framework of the Echo of Times project of the Donetsk Republic Public Movement, the activists laid fresh flowers at these memorable places. “We, the residents of Donbass, more than anyone else, understand the importance of this date. Millions of Soviet citizens died in the concentration camps created by the fascists. We must remember our lost citizens,” he said. Kirill Makarov told that on the eve of the great holiday —Victory Day on the 9th of May — activists of the Young Republic public organization and the Donetsk Republic Public Movement will organize the Immortal Regiment, a Republic civil and patriotic action; in cities, towns and districts of the Republic they will be helping veterans of the Great Patriotic War, will take part in cleaning up the mass graves, monuments and memorials to Soviet warriors.

According to chairperson of the Donetsk city organization of veterans Valeria Belozertseva, as of today, 250 former prisoners of the fascist concentration camps live in the capital of the Republic.
