Сегодня, 3 мая, в Донецке в преддверии всенародного праздника Дня Победы и профессионального праздника — Дня работников СМИ и полиграфии — в Киевском районе Донецка у монумента «Не вернувшимся в редакции» почтили память погибших при исполнении служебного долга журналистов.

Линейку памяти посетили действующие работники республиканских СМИ, министр информации ДНР Игорь Антипов, студенты-журналисты, школьники.

«Мы собрались, чтобы почтить память наших коллег–журналистов, погибших за честное и сильное слово. Донецкая земля знает не одну войну, на ней проходило не одно сражение, и всегда здесь погибали лучшие люди. В первых рядах всегда были наши коллеги–журналисты. Сильное государство должно иметь сильную информационную составляющую. В этом году мы отмечаем пятилетие нашей Республики. От нас ждут честных и правдивых новостей во всем мире, а мы рассказываем о тех событиях, которые происходили у нас. Каждый народ имеет право на самоопределение, и наши земляки доказали это.

Сегодня мы с честью несем ту славу и те дела, которые были совершены нашими коллегами, погибшими в сражениях и погибающими до сих пор, и продолжаем славные традиции наших предшественников: говорить честно и громко на весь мир», — сказал Игорь Антипов.

Присутствующие почтили память погибших журналистов минутой молчания, а затем к подножию мемориала были возложены живые цветы.

Today, on May 3rd, in Donetsk, on the eve of the nationwide holiday, Victory Day, as well as the professional holiday, Media and Printing Workers’ Day, in Kievsky District of Donetsk at the monument “Those Who Never Returned Editor’s Offices”, they honored the memory of the journalists who died in the line of duty.

The assembly of memory was attended by current workers of the republic media, Minister for Information of the DPR Igor Antipov, students training to be journalists and schoolchildren.
“We have gathered to honor the memory of our colleagues — the journalists — who died for an honest and strong word. The Donetsk land knows more than one war, more than one battle took place in it and the best people always died here. Our colleagues — the journalists — have always been in the forefront. A strong state should have a strong information component. This year we celebrate the fifth anniversary of our Republic. They expect from us honest and truthful news all over the world, and we tell about the events that happened here. Every nation has the right to self-determination and our countrymen have proved it.

Today, with honor we carry on the glory and deeds that have been accomplished by our colleagues, who died in battles and still die, and continue the glorious traditions of our predecessors: we speak honestly and loudly to the whole world,” Igor Antipov said.

Those present honored the memory of the dead journalists with a minute of silence, and then laid fresh flowers at the foot of the memorial.
