9 Мая в Донецке состоялся торжественный митинг, посвященный 74-й годовщине Победы советского народа в Великой Отечественной войне. Как сообщает корреспондент официального сайта ДНР, десятки тысяч дончан собрались возле монумента «Твоим освободителям, Донбасс!» в парке бывшего Ленинского комсомола в Киевском районе столицы Республики. Здесь была развернута большая копия Знамени Победы.
Присутствующие на митинге почтили минутой молчания всех погибших защитников Отечества.

«От всей души поздравляю вас с Днём Великой Победы! Сегодня все мы, от мала до велика, отдаем дань памяти нашему героическому прошлому. Дань памяти народу, который ценой своей жизни отстоял свободу нашей великой Родины. За мир, который наступил после окончания Великой Отечественной войны, советский народ заплатил миллионами жизней. Рискуя собой, без отдыха, в условиях постоянной смертельной опасности, советские воины уничтожили врага. Врага, который обращал в руины страны, истреблял население, калечил человеческие судьбы, чтобы построить свою фашистскую империю.

Подвиг наших предков — величайший в мировой истории! Это наша безмерная гордость, наша память, наш долг.

Именно нам, наследникам Великой Победы, завещано сберечь мир, который достался ценой жизни десятков миллионов людей. Сегодня болью в сердце каждого из нас отзываются попытки переписать историю военных лет. Это предательская, но заведомо провальная попытка ослабить нас, лишить объединяющей силы. Народ Донбасса всегда будет гордиться великими свершениями советского народа и хранить историческое наследие Великой Победы!

Друзья! Мир отмечает День Победы в 74-й раз, и с каждым годом растет наша сила, с каждым годом растут наши гордость и наше желание быть достойными подвига своих предков. С праздником!» — заявил во время митинга Глава Донецкой Народной Республики Денис Пушилин.

Как отметил участник боевых действий Великой Отечественной войны Петр Богун, День Победы будет жить в веках. «Мы должны помнить о той героической русской силе, о том героическом подвиге, который был совершен советским народом. Этот день всегда будет жить в наших сердцах! Он должен жить в сердцах всех грядущих поколений! Мы перед новыми вызовами, мы сегодня должны отдать должное и армии Донецкой Народной Республики — Народной милиции. Слава русскому народу-победителю!» — подчеркнул он.

Студент Донецкого национального технического университета Данил Михайлюк заверил участников митинга и всех ветеранов, что в сердцах молодежи День Победы — это символ героизма и несгибаемости народа, отстоявшего мир и свободу на нашей земле.

После исполнения песни «День Победы» под звуки ружейного салюта участники торжественного митинга возложили живые цветы к подножию монумента «Твоим освободителям, Донбасс!», к памятнику воинам-афганцам и памятнику погибшим гражданам Донецкой Народной Республики.

The peace that came after the end of the Great Patriotic War, cost millions of lives to the Soviet people. Risking themselves, without rest, in conditions of constant mortal danger, the Soviet soldiers destroyed the enemy. The enemy, who turned countries into ruins, exterminated the population, maimed human fates in order to build his fascist empire.
The feat of our ancestors is the greatest one in world history! This is our immense pride, our memory, our duty.
It is to us, the heirs of the Great Victory, bequeathed to preserve peace, which cost the lives of tens of millions of people. Today, with pain in the heart of each of us, there are attempts to rewrite history of the war years. This is a treacherous, but obviously failed attempt to weaken us, to deprive of the unifying force. The people of Donbass will always be proud of the great accomplishments of the Soviet people and preserve the historical heritage of the Great Victory!
Friends! The world celebrates Victory Day for the 74th time and every year our strength grows, every year our pride and our desire to be worthy of the feat of our ancestors grows. Happy holiday!”Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin stated during the rally.

According to combat veteran of the Great Patriotic War Pyotr Bogun, Victory Day will live for centuries. “We must remember that heroic Russian strength, that heroic feat that was accomplished by the Soviet people. This day will always live in our hearts! It must live in the hearts of all future generations! Facing new challenges, today we must pay tribute to the army of the Donetsk People’s Republic — the People’s Militia. Glory to the Russian Victorious People!” he stressed.

Student of Donetsk National Technical University Danil Mikhailiuk assured the rally participants and all veterans that, in the hearts of the youth, Victory Day is a symbol of the heroism and inflexibility of the people who defended peace and freedom in our land.

After performing the Victory Day song, to the sounds of a gun salute, the participants of the festive rally laid fresh flowers at the foot of the monument “To Your Liberators, Donbass!”, at the monument to the Afghan warriors and at the monument to the dead citizens of Donetsk People’s Republic.
