Как сообщает пресс-служба омбудсмена, 14 мая состоялась рабочая встреча Уполномоченного по правам человека в Донецкой Народной Республике Дарьи Морозовой с председателем Мониторинговой миссии ООН по правам человека на Украине Фионой Фрейзер.
В ходе мероприятия обсуждались вопросы, связанные с обеспечением соблюдения прав человека по обе стороны от линии соприкосновения. Председатель Мониторинговой миссии ООН по правам человека на Украине положительно оценила регулярное присутствие представителей аппарата Уполномоченного по правам человека в ДНР на судебных заседаниях с целью обеспечения правовой защиты граждан и предотвращения нарушений. Фиона Фрейзер поблагодарила Дарью Морозову и сотрудников главного правозащитного института за приверженность принципам верховенства права, справедливости и законности.
Также Уполномоченный по правам человека в ДНР и председатель Мониторинговой миссии ООН обсудили актуальные вопросы в рамках последующей встречи, которая состоялась в Министерстве иностранных дел Донецкой Народной Республики в этот же день.
According to the press service of the Ombudsperson, a working meeting featuring Commissioner for Human Rights in the Donetsk People’s Republic Darya Morozova with Chairperson of the UN Monitoring Mission on Human Rights to Ukraine Fiona Frazer was held on May 14th.
During the event, they discussed issues related to ensuring observance of human rights on both sides of the line of contact. The Chairperson of the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission to Ukraine positively assessed the regular presence of representatives of the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the DPR at court hearings in order to ensure legal protection of citizens and prevent violations. Fiona Frazer thanked Darya Morozova and the staff of the main human rights institution for their commitment to the principles of the rule of law, justice and due course of law.
In addition, the Commissioner for Human Rights in the DPR and the Chairperson of the UN Monitoring Mission discussed topical issues during the follow-up meeting that took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Donetsk People’s Republic on the same day.
