Сегодня, 21 мая, в Донецке прошел митинг, посвященный открытию бюста Героя Донецкой Народной Республики Олега Мамиева и основанию мемориального комплекса «Аллея Героев» в городском парке культуры и отдыха, сообщает пресс-служба АГ ДНР.

В мероприятии приняли участие Глава Донецкой Народной Республики Денис Пушилин, Президент Республики Южная Осетия Анатолий Бибилов, Председатель Народного Совета ДНР Владимир Бидёвка, депутат Парламента Республики Северная Осетия Зелимхан Ватаев, руководитель Союза добровольцев Донбасса Александр Бородай, Герой Донецкой Народной Республики Ахра Авидзба, командир батальона «Пятнашка» Андрей Кузин, супруга Олега Мамиева Лариса и сын Заур.

«Прошел год, как с нами нет Олега Мамиева – Человека с большой буквы, настоящего Героя Донецкой Народной Республики. Вспоминая, каким был человеком, товарищем, боевым офицером Олег Мамиев, трудно найти кого-то, кто мог сказать о нем плохое.

Действительно, это человек, который по зову сердца приехал на войну, потому что чувствовал, где справедливость, а где – враги. И жители Донецкой Народной Республики безмерно благодарны ему за подвиг.

Сегодня мы открываем бюст Олега Мамиева, и это начало Аллеи Героев. Государство во имя будущего должно увековечить память своих героев. Нам предстоит еще много – предстоит дойти до победы. Это то, что мы обязаны сделать. И мы сделаем», — обратился к участникам митинга Денис Пушилин.

Право открыть памятник Герою Донецкой Народной Республики Олегу Мамиеву было предоставлено самым близким людям – супруге и сыну.

«Братья и сестры! Я очень благодарен, что в Донбассе, в Донецкой Народной Республике увековечивается память нашего земляка, человека, который последние годы своей жизни посвятил борьбе за справедливость, борьбе за жизнь, за свои принципы», – сказал Президент Республики Южная Осетия Анатолий Бибилов.

Митинг завершился возложением цветов. Отдать дань памяти легендарному «Мамаю» пришли более 500 жителей Республики.

Напомним, в мае 2014 года Олег Мамиев (позывной «Мамай») добровольцем приехал защищать Донецкую Народную Республику. Он был одним из создателей Союза добровольцев Донбасса и командиром полка специального назначения «Пятнашка».

Today, on May 21st, a rally took place in Donetsk to mark the opening of a bust monument to Hero of the Donetsk People’s Republic Oleg Mamiyev and the foundation of a memorial complex “The Alley of Heroes” in the city’s urban park, the press service of the DPR Head’s Administration reports.

The event was attended by Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin, President of the Republic of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov, Chairman of the People’s Council of the DPR Vladimir Bidyovka, deputy of the Parliament of the Republic of South Ossetia Zelimkhan Vatayev, chief of the Union of Donbass Volunteers Alexander Borodai, Hero of the Donetsk People’s Republic Akhra Avidzba, commander of the Pyatnashka battalion Andrei Kuzin, Oleg Mamiyev’s wife Larisa and his son Zaur.

“A year has passed since Oleg Mamiyev died — he was a man with a big M, a real Hero of the Donetsk People’s Republic. Remembering what a man, comrade, and military officer Oleg Mamiyev was, it is hard to find someone who could speak something bad of him.

Indeed, he was man who, at the call of his heart, left his peaceful life and came to war, because he felt where the justice was and where the enemies were. And the residents of the Donetsk People’s Republic are immensely grateful to him for his feat.

Today we are opening a bust monument to Oleg Mamiyev, and this is the beginning of the Alley of Heroes. For the sake of the future, the state should perpetuate the memory of its heroes. We still have a lot to do — we have to make it to our victory. This is what we have to do. And we will do it,” Denis Pushilin addressed those present at the rally.

The right to open the monument to Hero of the Donetsk People’s Republic Oleg Mamiyev was granted to the loved ones, his spouse and son.

“Brothers and sisters! I am very grateful to you because in Donbass, in the Donetsk People’s Republic, the memory of our countryman, a person who devoted the last years of his life to the struggle for justice, the struggle for life, for our principles, is perpetuated,” President of the Republic of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov said.

The rally ended with a flower-laying ceremony. Over 500 residents of the Republic came to pay tribute to legendary Mamai.

Recall that in May 2014, Oleg Mamiyev (Nom-de-guerre Mamai) volunteered to defend the Donetsk People’s Republic. He was one of the founders of the Union of Donbass Volunteers and commander of the Pyatnashka special-purpose regiment.
