The Donetsk People’s Republic will foil the implementation of the Ukrainian “plan for the deportation of the people of Donbass” and will be safeguarding its residents by all available means, including diplomatic and military ones. Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin stated this today, on November 18, the press service of the Administration of the Head of State reports.
In the Ukrainian social media segment, there is actively circulating information on the Kiev authorities’ preparing a State-level “plan for the deportation of the people of Donbass.” It consists of organizing and conducting a cleansing of dissenters, aimed at humiliating, and in some cases, eliminating those who do not share the pro-Ukrainian views.
Thus, a number of punitive measures will be taken against those who do not follow and do not support the Kiev authorities’ ideology, ranging from deportation to legal prosecution, both administrative and criminal. Instead of people who forcibly left their homes, the inhabitants of Western and Central Ukraine will be relocated to Donbass.
“We have learnt nothing groundbreaking from this ‘plan.’ The Kiev authorities have long been looking forward to get rid of us. This is evidenced by the war Ukraine has unleashed with a view to annihilate the civilian population of Donbass and destroy socially significant infrastructure. The economic blockade imposed by the Kiev authorities does not contribute to the favourable living conditions of our citizens either. Now, their deranged mind has come up with a “plan for the deportation of the people of Donbass.”
Donbass is our home! And its residents are the ones to decide how and where they live, who to be friends with, and what language to speak. We parted ways with Ukraine back in 2014. We chose the way home to the Russian Federation. The Republic is steadily approaching its cherished goal, step by step building up and strengthening integration processes with Russia, while all the actions of the Kiev authorities have been and continue to be extremely destructive for us.
Our prior challenge is to protecting citizens. And we will choose a tool to meet it, a diplomatic or a military one, depending on the current situation. In any case, such Zelensky’s dreams will never come true, we won’t let this happen,” Denis Pushilin said.
