The enemy violated the ceasefire regime 38 times this week, including with prohibited weapons, spokesman for the DPR People’s Militia Directorate Colonel Eduard Basurin gave a detailed account during the briefing in Donetsk on July 24.

“On 17 populated localities of the Republic, the enemy fired 168 prohibited munitions, including 116 mortar shells of 120 and 82mm calibers and 52 items of ammunition for various rocket launchers.

Our defenders armed with weapons not prohibited by the Minsk Agreements timely and adequately responded to make the enemy units comply with the ceasefire regime,” Eduard Basurin said.

He also noted that July 21 marked precisely one year since the parties to the conflict signed the agreement on the indefinite ceasefire. For this period, about 4 thousand ceasefire violations have been committed by the armed forces of Ukraine, artillery and mortars have been used in more than a third of the cases, 35 thousand munitions have been fired on the territory of the Republic. Five civilians have been killed and 60 injured, 37 houses have been destroyed and 753 houses damaged, as well as 121 infrastructure facilities and 17 vehicles.

All information about the war crimes of Ukrainian militants, together with photographs and videos, has been sent to representatives of international organizations stationed in the Republic and also to the Prosecutor General’s Office to initiate criminal proceedings against war criminals Gudz, Palas, Mishanchuk, Lutsenko, Maistrenko and Gnatov.
