A Makeyevka citizen, Elena Skripko, who suffered severe injuries due to shelling by the AFU on August 19, 2014, received assistance in compliance with the instruction given by Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin in the course of the live call-in show on December 26, 2019. According to the correspondent of the DPR official website, the assistance was provided within the collaboration of the City Council, the Migration Service of the DPR Internal Affairs Ministry and the civil society organization for persons with disabilities.
“They brought me a glucometer and provided me with anti-diabetes drugs. I am very grateful to everyone who helped me,” Elena Skripko said.
She also noted that she had been assisted by the Republic’s Migration Service in applying for the passport of a DPR citizen, and subsequently in obtaining citizenship of the Russian Federation. Along with that, Elena Skripko said that the charity foundation covered the State fee payment.
Head of the Makeyevka City Council Sergei Goloshchapov said:
“This issue was taken under control, and the instruction from Head of the Republic Denis Pushilin to take in this situation was looked to as a guide to action. We will keep assisting persons with disabilities.”
