Continuing the conversation about the situation with the coal industry, Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin noted during the live call-in show that modernization and new technologies are necessary for the improvement of the coal industry of the Republic, a correspondent of the DPR Official Website reported on June 16.
“We are interested in the development and modernization. But there is also a very wide range of issues that include safety of work, a benefits package that both miners and their families should have. This is a great deal of work, no one will do it for us,” Denis Pushilin noted.
DPR Minister of Coal and Energy Ruslan Dubovsky reported on the plans for improving and modernizing the coal industry. He told that according to the enterprises development program for 2020, it is planned to put into operation nine longwalls, four of which have already started to work on a scheduled basis. The Minister also spoke in detail about the paying-off of wage arrears for miners, the search for new outlets and coal supplies to DPR enterprises.
“Today you need new technologies more than ever. The development program must be drawn up very carefully. We have prospects and opportunities,” Denis Pushilin summed up.
