В рамках ознакомительного визита в Донецкую Народную Республику депутат национальной Ассамблеи Республики Мали, председатель партии «Солидарность за независимую и демократическую Африку» (SADI) Умар Марико встретился с Председателем Народного Совета ДНР Денисом Пушилиным. Об этом сообщает корреспондент официального сайта Донецкой Народной Республики.

«Я счастлив быть здесь. Всегда мечтал побывать в СССР, даже когда он перестал существовать. Мали проявляет большой интерес к сотрудничеству со странами бывшего Советского Союза, поэтому я хотел бы поддерживать контакты в области образования, здравоохранения. Советский народ приложил много усилий, чтобы содействовать развитию в Мали здравоохранения, образования и военной сферы. Это имеет огромное значение для укрепления государственности и связей между странами», — отметил Умар Марико.

Участники встречи проинформировали друг друга о внутриполитической ситуации в своих странах. По словам Умара Марико, в свое время на территории Мали было провозглашено независимое государство Азавад, но это событие не имеет ничего общего с народным волеизъявлением в Донбассе. При этом в африканской стране доминируют западные СМИ, поэтому не поступает достоверная информация о Донецкой Народной Республике.

Собеседники отметили, что при больших различиях есть и существенное сходство — несколько лет на их территориях идет военное противостояние, а также в этом году намечены выборы глав государств. Со своей стороны Денис Пушилин подчеркнул, что, несмотря на продолжающиеся боевые действия, жители Республики возвращаются к себе домой.

«У нас есть промышленный потенциал, человеческий ресурс, трудолюбивое население. Нам необходим мир, и мы можем полноценно развиваться. До известных событий плотность население нашего региона составляла 200 человек на км2, в остальных регионах Украины — 43, в Мали — 12. Эти цифры говорят о том, что человеческий ресурс, трудолюбивое население, является одним из важных факторов. За время конфликта ситуация несильно изменилась. Те, кто выехал, вернулись, когда закончились активные боевые действия», — сказал он.

В конце встречи Денис Пушилин выразил надежду, что предстоящие выборы в Мали пройдут в мирной обстановке, а Умару Марико пожелал победы на них.

Mali takes great interest in cooperation with countries of the former Soviet Union, so I would like to keep contacts in the area of education and healthcare. The Soviet people made many efforts to promote the development of healthcare, education and military sector in Mali. This means great importance for strengthening statehood and ties between the countries,” Oumar Mariko noted

The participants of the meeting informed each other about the internal political situation in their countries. According to Oumar Mariko, an independent state of Azawad was proclaimed in the territory of Mali at some point, but this event had nothing to do with the will expression of the people in Donbass. At the same time, the Western media are prevalent in the African country, so reliable information about the Donetsk People’s Republic does not come.

They noted that amid the great differences there is a significant similarity — for several years there has been a war confrontation going on in these territories, and elections of leaders of the sates are scheduled for this year. For his part, Denis Pushilin stressed that residents of the Republic get back to their homes despite the ongoing hostilities.

“We have an industrial potential, human resources, hard-working population. We require peace, so we can fully develop. Before the events, the density of the population of our region was 200 people per sq.km, in the remaining regions of Ukraine it’s 43, in Mali it’s 12. These figures indicate that human resources and hardworking population are one of the important factors. During the conflict, the situation has changed slightly. Those who left returned when the active hostilities had finished,” he said.

At the end of the meeting, Denis Pushilin expressed the hope that the upcoming elections in Mali would take place in a peaceful atmosphere, and he wished Oumar Mariko to win them.
