Today, on July 17, on the sixth anniversary of the crash of the Malaysian Boeing 777, a mourning rally in commemoration of the victims of this tragedy took place in the village of Grabovo, the Shakhtyorsky district. According to a correspondent of the Official Website of the Donetsk People’s Republic, the event was attended by Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin.
“Dear friends, the summer of 2014 was marked by the fervor of hostilities in Donbass: bloody battles in Ilovaysk, Shakhtyorsk, the air strike on Snezhnoye… Then, on July 17, 2014, a Malaysian Boeing crashed as the result of the monstrous plot of the Ukrainian power. 298 people died, 80 of them were children.
We meet every year to commemorate them. We know what it is to lose loved ones, and we profoundly sympathize with the victims’ relatives, who continue to mourn for their kindred.
Six years have passed, we see that the politically biased investigation is not over yet. All this while, they have been adjusting the investigation process to the false version they put forward in the first two hours. We see who Kiev is trying to disclaim the guilt by all means possible, to blame the People’s Militia of Donbass and Russia. Ukraine shows no sign of repentance for the committed war crime. Unfortunately, attacks on our localities never end, the peaceful civilian population is being killed. This is the present-day Ukraine. Nothing has changed even with the new power in Kiev.
We know that history sorts out everything. And we are confident that sooner or later the culprit of the monstrous catastrophe, monstrous plot, monstrous war crime committed by the Kiev authorities will be disclosed. There is no other way.
Dear friends, I want to emphasize once again that from year to year we have been commemorating those people who died on the land of Donbass,” Denis Pushilin said.
During the event, those present laid flowers at the memorial on the scene of the tragedy. Residents of the Donetsk People’s Republic grieve for what happened.
Recall that on July 17, 2014, the passenger aircraft Boeing-777 of Malaysia Airlines was operating the scheduled flight MH17 from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur. As the result of the scheme carried out by the armed forces of Ukraine, the airliner crashed. There were 283 passengers and 15 crew members on board. All of them died.
