Сегодня, 30 января, в Донецкой Народной Республике отмечается третья годовщина со дня освобождения Углегорска от вооруженных сил Украины.

«Это важная дата для всех нас. Именно в Углегорске армия ДНР показала, что способна не только успешно отражать атаки превосходящих сил противника, но и наносить мощные удары по регулярной армии Украины и отрядам карателей. Именно в Углегорске, по моему мнению, произошел тот психологический сдвиг, после которого все мы осознали – наша победа неизбежна, рано или поздно мы освободим всю территорию Донецкой Народной Республики.

С Углегорска началась операция по освобождению Дебальцево, закончившаяся полным успехом и приведшая к Дебальцевскому котлу и крупнейшему разгрому неонацистских карателей. Именно здесь мы показали всю мощь и славу нашего оружия, храбрость и преданность долгу наших бойцов, веру в то, что наше дело правое и победа будет за нами.

Я поздравляю жителей Углегорска с Днем освобождения и хочу поблагодарить всех тех, кто даже в страшное время боев и обстрелов оказывал нам посильную помощь в борьбе с захватчиками. Без вас и вашей поддержки эти сражения были бы многократно более трудными и кровавыми.

Я благодарен всем ополченцам, не дрогнувшим перед лицом сильного противника и проявившим беспримерную стойкость и мужество. Вместе с вами мы совершили то, чего до нас не делал никто. И мы победили!

В этот день я хочу вспомнить всех тех, кто погиб, освобождая Углегорск. Ваша жертва, ваш подвиг навсегда останутся в наших сердцах и в памяти благодарных потомков!

Today, on January 30th, the Donetsk People’s Republic celebrates the third anniversary of the liberation of Uglegorsk from the armed forces of Ukraine.

“This is an important date for all of us. Uglegorsk is where the DPR army showed that it is able not only to successfully repel attacks of overwhelming forces of the adversary, but also to deliver a powerful blow to the regular Ukrainian army and the units of punishers. Uglegorsk is where, in my opinion, that mental shift happened after which we all realized that our victory was inevitable, we eventually would liberate the whole territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic.

It was in Uglegorsk where the operation of the liberation of Debaltsevo began, which ended with complete success and led to the Debaltsevo salient and the largest defeat of the neo-Nazi punishers. It was here where we showed all the power and glory of our arms, courage and our soldiers’ devotion to the duty, the trust that our cause is right and we will be victorious.

I congratulate residents of Uglegorsk on Liberation Day and I want to thank all those who even in the horrible time of fighting and shelling rendered us all possible assistance in the struggle against the invaders. Without you and your support, these battles would be manifold tougher and bloody.

I am grateful to all militiamen who did not back down from the strong foe and proved the unprecedented steadfastness and courage. Together with you, we performed what nobody has done before us. And we won!

On this day, I want to remember all those who died while liberating Uglegorsk. Your sacrifice, your feat will forever remain in our hearts and in the memory of the grateful offspring!
