На сегодняшнем заседании Контактной группы в Минске ключевыми вопросами стали проведение обмена пленными и восстановление работы мобильного оператора Vodafone на территории Донецкой Народной Республики.
«Полпред ДНР Денис Пушилин назвал отсутствие связи элементами коммуникационной блокады, намеренно проводимой украинской стороной. По его словам, Украина, начиная с октября прошлого года, целенаправленно отрезала Республики от связи. Первыми весточками стали порывы магистральных линий, подающих интернет на территорию ДНР и ЛНР осенью прошлого года, затем порыв кабелей, обслуживающих оборудование мобильного оператора уже в нынешнем году. Учитывая социальные последствия отсутствия связи на территории Республики, которые коснулись в первую очередь наименее защищенных категорий населения, Денис Пушилин призвал к скорейшему поиску решений по данному вопросу. Представители СММ ОБСЕ в переговорном процессе также высказались за необходимость урегулирования данной ситуации.
Особое внимание переговорщиков было сконцентрировано на обсуждении процесса обмена пленными. В данный момент ведется активная работа по согласованию списка обмениваемых», — сообщил источник на переговорах.
Заседание Контактной группы подошло к концу. Следующая встреча переговорщиков запланирована на 14 февраля.
The exchange of war prisoners and the recovery of the Vodafone mobile operator in the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic were key issues at today’s meeting of the Contact Group in Minsk.
“Envoy of the DPR Denis Pushilin called the lack of mobile telephony elements of the communication blockade that is deliberately conducted by the Ukrainian side. According to him, Ukraine since October last year has purposefully cut off the Republic from communication. The first signs were the damage of the main lines that provided the Internet to DPR and LPR territories, the damage of cables that serviced the mobile operator’s equipment this year followed that. Given the social consequences of the lack of communication in the Republic’s territory, which affected primarily the most vulnerable categories of the population, Denis Pushilin appealed for an early search of solutions on this issue. Representatives of the OSCE SMM to the negotiation process also spoke in favor of the necessity to settle this situation.
The negotiators’ special attention was focused on the discussion of the exchange of war prisoners. The active work to agree on a list of people subjected to the exchange is currently underway,” a source at the talks informed.
The Contact Group’s meeting has ended. Another meeting of the negotiators is scheduled for February 14th.
