The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to suffer non-combat losses in the occupation zone, official representative of the DPR People’s Militia Rinat Aigistov said during a daily briefing.
“For instance, two militants were killed in the detonation of an unidentified explosive device when militants of the 128th brigade were conducting engineering works on equipping new positions near the locality of Bogdanovka. A demining team arrived at the scene and detected a cache with munitions and a mass grave containing human remains. Currently, the area is cordoned off by representatives of the Security Service of Ukraine, an investigative group of the Military Prosecutor’s Office is working on the site, and mortal remains and munitions are being removed. According to preliminary information, this find consists of the non-combat losses from among militants of the 35th brigade. Military criminal Palas tried to conceal these losses before leaving the Joint Forces’ Operation zone and ordered to document them as absent without leave.
Rinat Aigistov stressed that concealment of non-combat losses in the armed formations of Ukraine is considered as a rule. “A separate battalion of the 4th brigade of the Ukrainian National Guard, by which the 59th AFU brigade was reinforced due to low staffing, became no exception. These days, a joint commission from the occupation forces’ operation headquarters and the Sever and Vostok separate tactical groups is conducting proceedings in the above-mentioned unit to investigate the concealment of five military personnel wounded in the October 15 detonation of an explosive device near the locality of Novoluganskoye.
The occupation of the advanced positions by the National Guard unit of Ukraine raised a number of questions among the Commission’s representatives due to the fact that this unit was supposed to function as a crossing point and ensure the rule of law in the brigade’s responsibility area. In this connection, Joint Forces’ Operation Commander Kravchenko is expected to arrive in the responsibility area of the brigade.”
