Over the past week, Ukrainian militants engaged twenty-two populated localities of the Republic, violating the truce one hundred and sixty-eight times. Deputy commander of the Operational Command colonel Eduard Basurin reported this on October 18th.
“The adversary again violated the ceasefire by firing eighteen 122mm artillery shells, five hundred and forty-seven 120 and 82mm mortar shells, five hundred and forty-four grenades of various types on the territory of the Republic and fired fifteen tank shots. As a result of AFU attacks, a woman born in 1958 was wounded, twenty-two residential houses and infrastructure facilities were damaged in Zaitsevo, Gorlovka, Staromikhailovka, Aleksandrovka, Yasnoye and Kominternovo.
Since the armistice was declared starting July 21st 12 a.m., the adversary has violated it one thousand one hundred and forty-one times. During the indicated period, two people have been killed in AFU attacks, eighteen civilians injured, two hundred and forty-four residential buildings and infrastructure facilities damaged,” colonel Basurin stated.
Deputy commander of the Operational Command emphasized that all the information with photo and video content had been sent to representatives of international organizations stationed in the Republic and transferred to the Prosecutor General’s Office to initiate criminal proceedings against war criminals — brigade commanders giving orders to open fire on populated localities of the Republic — Shapovalov, Ivanov, Kashchenko, Marchenko, Kokorev, Korostelev and Gnatov.
