On October 24th, representatives of the youth branch of the public organization United Donbass Fund visited Donetsk Special General Education Boarding School 19 for children with hearing and visual impairment. The press service of the organization reports this.
On the eve of International Day of School Libraries, representatives of the fund brought to the special school audio-visual aids in Russian, children’s fiction and speech therapy textbooks.
“At the moment, 92 children aged 4 to 20 years, including 8 children from the Donetsk region temporarily controlled by Ukraine study at our boarding school. Library lessons and events as part of the Year of the Russian Language are conducted for children regularly. They are aimed at raising children’s motivation to read Russian literature, so such presents as books and visual aids from the United Donbass Fund will be very useful to us,” director of the boarding school Natalia Voronova noted.
We remind you that in order to preserve and develop Russian as a fundamental language in the culture of Donbass, 2019 is declared the Year of the Russian Language in the Donetsk People’s Republic.
