The DPR is a good example of getting outer negative events turn into positive changes and developments, Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin said during a welcoming address at the Plenary of the Donetsk International Investment Forum.
“There are many instances in the world history when certain limitations or sanctions which were purposely applied towards a country from outside resulted in their becoming beneficial to this nation and making it even stronger by putting it in a new position which encouraged its citizens to make new decisions they never took before,” Pushilin said.
The Head of the DPR stressed that the people of Donbass had become the force to preserve the Republic’s capacities despite the challenges faced.
“The people of Donbass had to pass through many severe hardships. Nevertheless, they managed to save our main industrial potential as well as retain their enthusiasm for work to our nation’s benefit. Since long ago, people of Donbass used to work hard and made hard labour integral part of their everyday life,” Pushilin said.
According to the Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic, nowadays the DPR is undertaking every effort to regain our former reputation of a business partner everyone can rely on.
“That makes us seek new opportunities for finding partners for establishing mutually beneficial cooperation with,” Pushilin summed up.
It is worth noting that representatives of 17 countries, a total of about 250 foreign delegates, are taking part in the Forum as honoured guests and participants.
