The International Investment Forum, supported by Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin, has been launched today in Donetsk.
Moderator of the Forum, PhD in Economics Larisa Kostrovets in her welcoming address spoke about the key aims and objectives of the event.
“The Forum seeks to determine the major factors on which the mechanisms to attract investment in the Republic depend. The LPR and DPR are clear examples of how economies have managed to keep their industrial and economic potential under difficult conditions,” she said.
According to her, the main reason for this is the labour potentials remaining to work.
“The skills of the people remaining in the Republic will serve as a mechanism to attract investment and partners,” Kostrovets emphasized.
It is noted that the Forum is attended by representatives of the total of 17 countries, including official delegations from the Russian Federation, the LPR, the Republic of South Ossetia, the Republic of Abkhazia, as well as entrepreneurs and representatives of business organizations from France, Finland, Ireland, Great Britain, Switzerland, Bulgaria, the USA, Turkey, Syria, Yemen, Tajikistan, Iran, and Egypt.
250 delegates from all over the world have been invited to the Forum.
It is planned that guests from foreign countries will take part in the Forum’s Grand Opening and Plenary, along with meetings within six panels and exhibitions. In addition, some of the participants are to sign a number of agreements, protocols of intent and memoranda with the DPR.
