The final plenary session of the Donetsk International Investment Forum has begun in Donetsk today, on October 30th. According to a correspondent of the official website of the Donetsk People’s Republic, representatives of business, government, academic community and leading experts were searching for ways to solve the most important socio-economic problems within the framework of the Forum.
The work in six fields was being conducted as part of the investment forum: economic potential, formation of a favorable investment climate, cooperation in the field of agro-industrial complex, scientific and educational potential, Donbass and Russian regions, environmental development.
In addition, there was an exhibition of leading enterprises of the Republic, as well as a visit to the Khartsyzsk wire and rope works Silur, Donfrost OOO, Kolbiko Firm OOO.
250 international delegates, particularly those from Russia, the LPR, South Ossetia, Abkhazia, France, Finland, Ireland, Great Britain, Switzerland, Bulgaria, the USA, Turkey, Syria, Yemen, Tajikistan, Iran and Egypt, attended the Forum.
The Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics signed agreements, protocols of intent and memoranda as part of the work of subpanels.
“Within the framework of subpanels, we studied the possibilities of applying advanced financial and information technologies in the economy of Donbass to ensure the protection of interests and rights of investors and minimize the adverse impact of politically occasioned factors. The idea is to create a flexible, simple, reliable, and maximally transparent investment model that fully meets the interests of business and the state.
Promising investment areas and industries have been determined during discussions within subpanels. From our speeches, we have heard concrete proposals, voiced by the guests and participants in the Forum, to increase the investment attractiveness of Donbass, which will form the basis for the formation of effective mechanisms of investment policy,” said Larisa Kostrovets, the moderator of the Donetsk International Investment Forum, Rector of Donetsk Academy of Management and Civil Service under the auspices of the Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic.
