Over the past day, Ukrainian militants twenty times engaged the areas of populated localities of the Republic, in total, Ukrainian militants fired 79 items of different types of ammunition, official representative of the DPR People’s Militia Directorate Dmitry Astrakhan reported at the briefing in Donetsk on November 12th.
- “On the Gorlovka front, militants from the 59th and 58th brigades engaged Ozeryanovka, Shirokaya Balka and the Gagarin mine’s village of Gorlovka by using 120mm and 82mm mortars, tanks, IFV guns, anti-tank and automatic grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms.
- On the Donetsk front, militants from the 56th and 28th brigades engaged the areas of Spartak, Aleksandrovka and the Donetsk airport by using 82mm mortars, heavy machine guns and small arms.
- On the Mariupol front, militants from the 36th and 128th brigades using IFV guns, automatic grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms engaged the areas of Yasnoye, Petrovskoye, Novolaspa, Kulikovo and Kominternovo.
Also, since the beginning of the current day, the enemy has engaged the areas of Spartak, Petrovskoye, the villages of the Trudovskaya mine and Gagarin mine by using anti-tank grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms.
Information on the scale of destruction of civilian infrastructure and victims among civilians is being specified,” Dmitry Astrakhan stated.
According to the DPR PMD official representative, the defenders of the Republic keep the actions of the enemy under control along the entire line of contact, at the same time respecting the terms of the ceasefire.
“Despite the measures taken for the withdrawal of forces and equipment from the site No. 3 Petrovskoye, the Ukrainian side continues to set up reactive obstacles near that area. This intensified setting-up of reactive obstacles, as we approach winter, only confirms the statement from deputy commander of the joint forces operation Bondar on the postponement of disengagement dates, and indicates the unwillingness of the joint forces operation’s staff to follow the peacebuilding process without sabotaging it. Nationalist units have also stepped up their activity near the disengagement area.
In addition, the radicals use UAVs with attached munitions to strike their own positions or ours, in order to provoke return fire from the parties to the conflict,” Dmitry Astrakhan commented.
Also, according to him, it is noteworthy that once again the command staff of the joint forces operation and the uncontrolled nationalist units are escalating the situation along the contact line on the eve of the Contact Group’s meeting for the settlement of the situation in the east of Ukraine, which is being held in Minsk today.
