At the November 14 meeting with heads of cities and districts, Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin gave the order to staff local departments for the population’s labour and social protection, with a view for them to improve the quality of social services provided.
“The social policy of the Donetsk People’s Republic is precisely people-centered and people-oriented. Accordingly, at the moment there is a real need to measurably improve the number of employees of labour and social protection departments in cities and regions. The Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, in collaboration with the administrations of cities and districts, needs to to follow up on the issues related to the quality of social services provided,” the Head of the Republic said.
At the meeting, the Minister of Labour and Social Policy of the DPR Larisa Tolstykina spoke about the situation with the provision of social services in the Republic.
“It is very difficult to overestimate the importance of the social protection system’s operation in the conditions which the Donetsk People’s Republic is experiencing. But, unfortunately, at the moment there is a number of difficulties primarily caused by the insufficient provision of labour departments with personnel and computer equipment,” she said.
Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin instructed the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy of the DPR to introduce proposals on measurably improving the staffing of local labour and social protection departments by November 27 this year. The Head of the Donetsk City Council was instructed to make changes to the staffing of the department for labour and social protection during the same period of time in coordination with the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy of the DPR. Administrations of cities and districts were also instructed by the Head of the Republic to introduce such changes to the staff of the departments for labour and social protection before November 27 of the current year, taking into account the proposals from the relevant ministry.
