Today, on November 14, the DPR People’s Council marks its fifth anniversary. According to a correspondent of the official website of the Donetsk People’s Republic, an extraordinary plenary session of the parliament took place in the session hall of the Government House.
“Today is a special day for us. Exactly five years have passed since the first plenary meeting of the DPR People’s Council, the supreme legislative body elected by the people in 2014.
Great work has been done during this time, because then, in November 2014, the deputies not only began to perform their official duties, they also began to reestablish the legislative base of our young country, to build a system of direct dialogue with the residents of the Republic, to build a fair state from the ground up, which we have always aspired to. And all this was happening under the conditions of war, economic blockade, information attacks by Ukraine. But each of us realized our responsibility to the people, felt the importance of our actions for the sake of achieving the common good of the entire Donbass. Thanks to this, today there is no doubt that our state has succeeded and is going forward.
Today, when the interests of the people are represented by the deputies of the second tenure, their legislative work is mostly aimed at improving the existing rules of law, analyzing their compliance with the current situation in the country, updating the legal framework taking into account the needs of citizens and the state in general. It is not a secret that nowadays the Donetsk People’s Republic takes a course on the development of the economy: creation of new jobs at enterprises, attraction of investments, improvement of living standard of the citizens. Of course, the laws of the Donetsk People’s Republic during this period must be reliable assistants in achieving these goals, and each of the deputies works on it,” Chairman of the DPR People’s Council Vladimir Bidyovka said.
In addition, as part of the plenary session they reviewed the draft laws On Amendments to Article 16 of the DPR Law on Trade Unions, On Amendments to the Law on Postal Service and On Amendments to Certain Laws to Bring Their Provisions in Conformity with the Law on the Fundamentals of the Budget System and Budget Process in the DPR.
We remind that today, on November 14, Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin signed a Decree establishing the Day of Parliamentarianism, which shall be celebrated annually on this day.
