On November 24, the 110 kV Ilovaiskaya traction connection went off at 12:51 at the 220 kV Zugres substation. 87 high-voltage power lines of various voltage, 28 substations of 110 and 35 kV voltage and 649 transforming substations were cut off power supply. 52 localities were de-energized in south DPR and in the Amvrosiyevsky district, including a total of 29,362 households, dozens of socially significant facilities, including hospitals, schools, kindergartens, and boiler rooms, the press office of the DPR Ministry of Coal and Energy reports.
Power engineers have quickly proceeded to restoration works. Having inspected 110 kV lines with the overall length of more than 50 kilometers, there were detected the consequences of a ground fire (reed fire) and a burnt wire. Employees of the Regional Energy Supply Company carried out emergency repairs as soon as possible, gradually returning power supply to the localities of the DPR. Residents of the Telmanovsky district were the first to switch on the light in their homes as they were powered at 14:20. Absolutely all de-energized villages of the Republic were fed with power during the day.
As of this morning, in the Republic there are no de-energized social facilities or households.
Taking into account the complicated weather conditions — gusts of storm wind up to 20 meters per second, and up to 35 m/s on the Azov coast, the emergency repair crews of Regional Energy Supply Company continue to work in an accelerated mode, controlling the stable voltage supply to DPR consumers, quickly eliminating damages of power networks.
