The short documentary Quiet Please! Curtain Up by Italian directors Maya Nogradi and Luca Belardi won the Grand Prix nomination award of the Russian Film Festival, the press service of the DPR Ministry for Foreign Affairs reports.
Ms. Nogradi and Mr. Belardi visited Donetsk to work on this film several times. In the center of the controversy there is Donetsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after A.B. Solovyanenko, which did not cease its work in the times most trying for Donbass, demonstrating an example of resilience and beauty, winning against all odds.
The Russian Film Festival was held in Moscow. As part of this event, there were presented 253 films about Russia and the Russian people. Representatives of 14 countries took part in the festival and more than 10 thousand spectators attended the event.
