According to information from DPR JCCC monitors, Ukrainian militants engaged localities of the Republic 10 times over the past 24 hours, DPR PMD spokesman Dmitry Astrakhan reported at a briefing in Donetsk on December 17.

“On the Gorlovka front, militants from the 59th and 92nd brigades engaged Mikhaylovka and Shirokaya Balka by using 120mm and 82mm mortars, IFV guns, heavy machine guns and small arms.

On the Donetsk front, fighters from the 28th and 56th AFU brigades engaged Aleksandrovka, Mineralnoye and the village of Trudovskaya Mine by using grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms.

On the Mariupol front, militants from the 10th brigade engaged Naberezhnoye, Leninskoye, Bezymennoye and Dzerzhinskoye with 122mm artillery, 120mm and 82mm mortars and heavy machine guns.
Information on the scale of destruction of the civil infrastructure and victims among civilians is being specified,” Dmitry Astrakhan stated.
He also notes that the AFU occupation command still endangers the lives of civilians living in the territory temporarily controlled by Ukraine. Along with ceasefire violations, the joint forces operation’s command continues to deploy weapons and military equipment in the immediate vicinity of residential buildings and populated localities.
“In particular, the intelligence has found weapons and military equipment of the AFU in the residential areas of Avdeyevka — three BTR-4s, Novokalinovoye —one BTR-60, Lebedinskoye — two IFVs. In addition, six anti-tank mines were spotted on the northern side of the road near the village of Pischevik, this information is confirmed by OSCE officials,” the DPR PMD spokesman reported
The spokesman emphasizes that defenders of the Republic are keeping the enemy’s actions under control along the entire contact line, at the same time observing the ceasefire conditions.
