On Wednesday of December 25, children from the frontline villages of Gorlovkawere given New Year presents as part of the work of the DPR People’s Council Provisional Commission For Control and Coordination of Activities in Areas MostAffected by the Armed Aggression of Ukraine. According to a correspondent of the DPR official website, the presents were handed over by DPR People’s Council deputy Maria Pirogova and public figures from Russia AlekseyByatkovsky and Yulia Romanikhina.

In total, more than 200 children living in the three villages of Nikitovsky District of Gorlovka, in particular the village of Zaytsevo, Gagarin Mine’s village andTrudovskaya Mine’s village. Also, an entertainment was arranged for children, featuring Russian Santa and the Snow Maiden.

“Today we brought gifts to children of the frontline localities of Gorlovka, and organized a festive entertainment for them. During the event, the children told their New Year’s cherished wishes, but the main wish of each child is peace,” Maria Pirogova said.

She also stressed that it is very important that the children of Donbass celebrate the next New Year’s Eve in the peaceful Donetsk People’s Republic.

According to Natalya Voloshina, the deputy headmistress of Kindergarten 61Svetlyachok, for the pupils of the institution staying in the front-line village of Gagarin Mine of NikitovskyDistrict of Gorlovka, this is a real holiday.

“The children received presents and a lot of joy, and it is very important that children living in difficult conditions are surrounded by care and attention, because everyone’s duty is to make their life brighter and happier,” Natalya Voloshina said.

So, a total of 36 pupils of the institution received presents.

Also, as part of the event, DPR People’s Council deputy Maria Pirogova and the public figures from the Russian Federation visited Bogdan Chikonov, a participant in the Wish Tree project, and congratulated him on his birthday and wished him Happy New Year. The child got a toy car and musical instrument as a present.

Public figure from Russia Aleksey Byatkovsky claims they met up with the child not for the first time, since earlier they arranged for Bogdan a trip, he visited Sochi (Russia) for heath improvement and recreation.
