Criminal proceedings are initiated into the attacks on Gorlovka and Staromikhaylovka

The Criminal Investigation Division of the DPR Prosecutor General’s investigates cases on the acts constituting a crime under Article 229, Section 2 (a), (c) of the DPR Criminal Code (terrorist act) against commander of the 28th AFU separate mechanized brigade M.M. Marchenko and commander of the 59th separate mechanized infantry brigade G.N. Shapovalov, the press service of the DPR Prosecutor General’s Office reported on December 26.

It has been established that on December 24, 2019, the military personnel of the 59th AFU separate mechanized infantry brigade, on the orders from commander G.N. Shapovalov, shelled the village of Zaytsevo, Nikitovsky District of Gorlovka, by using mortars, which resulted in damage to houses at 100 and 104 Karbysheva Street.

Also, on December 25, 2019, the military personnel of the 28th separate mechanized brigade, on the orders from commander M.M. Marchenko, engaged the village of Staromikhaylovka, Kirovsky District of Donetsk, by using an infantry fighting vehicle, which resulted in damage to houses at 40, 44, 46 and 51 Shevchenko Street, as well as a house at 10 Sovetskaya Street.
