On December 27, the Donetsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater hosted a festive event dedicated to New Year’s Eve. According to a correspondent of the DPR official website, Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin congratulated those present on the upcoming holiday.
“On New Year’s Eve, we try to finish all our work, sum up the past year and make plans for the future.
2019 was an eventful year. The year was marked by the Decree on issuing passports to residents of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics that President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin signed.
This year we focused on the economy, made efforts to tap into foreign markets. We managed to demonstrate our capabilities at a series of international exhibitions in the Crimea, Kursk, St. Petersburg and Syria. Donetsk hosted a large-scale investment forum. Donbass is gradually gaining industrial momentum. But we still have a lot of work to do to restore Donetsk the glory of the business capital. We will do this for sure!” he said.
Denis Pushilin emphasized that he had seen the desire of people to make the Republic better. “We put the care for the citizens of the Republic at the top of our priorities. I want to thank you for what you are doing for the people of the Donetsk People’s Republic. With your daily work, you seek to make our state strong and prosperous. However, more needs to be done! And I ask you to take this into account next year,” the Head of the Republic stated.
“Dear friends! I wish you good health, happiness, high spirits and, of course, a long-awaited peace! Happy New Year 2020!” the Head of the DPR greeted the audience.
For their conscientious work, high professionalism and significant personal contribution to the formation and development of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin awarded honorary diplomas and commendations to the best employees of government.
After the award ceremony, the best theater actors performed on the stage of the Donbass Opera.
