According to the information from monitors of the DPR Representative Office to the JCCC, the armed formations of Ukraine opened fire six times on populated localities of the Republic over the past day, official representative of the DPR PMD Dmitry Astrakhan reported on January 15 at a briefing in Donetsk.
“On the Gorlovka front, militants from the 59th and 58th AFU brigades engaged Dolomitnoye and the village of Gagarin Mine by using anti-tank grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms.
On the Donetsk front, militants from the 28th brigade engaged Aleksandrovka and Staromikhaylovka with anti-tank grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms.
On the Mariupol front, the 10th mountain assault brigade engaged Leninskoye and Sakhanka with 120-and 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of various types, heavy machine guns and small arms.
Information on the scale of destruction of the civil infrastructure and casualties among the civilian population is being specified.
As a result of enemy fire, one defender of the Republic suffered fatal wounds,” Dmitry Astrakhan stated.
He also noted that the increase in the number of provocative attacks on the territory of our Republic occurred due to the upcoming meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group in Minsk on January 16, where the Ukrainian side plans to take advantage of this escalation to avoid discussions on the matter of further withdrawal of forces and equipment from the contact line.
