On January 16, in Donetsk, employees of the Republican Forensic Medical Bureau under the DPR Ministry of Health met with relatives of missing persons, the latter were provided an update of forensic medical examination service’s ongoing work. The meeting was held on the initiative of the public organization The Union of Mothers of Missing Sons, a correspondent of the Official Website of the Donetsk People’s Republic reports.
“Owing to our organization, more mothers of the missing have begun to contact the Forensic Medical Bureau. We are the link between the relatives of the missing and the Forensic Office. We also inform people that they can pass a DNA test and obtain a genetic passport absolutely free of charge,” Kristina Kruglenko, the Chairperson of the Union of Mothers of Missing Sons, said.
A total of nearly 150 persons from the DPR and Ukraine have addressed the public organization for help.
Head of the Republican Forensic Medical Bureau under the DPR Ministry of Health Dmitry Kalashnikov noted that at the moment the Forensic Office possesses a sufficient amount of consumables to genotype relatives of the missing. This day they were given the corresponding passports.
