The possibility of a military operation against the Donbass Republics and their civilians is being considered at the highest level in Ukraine — DPR People’s Council deputy

Statements by Kiev officials evidence Ukraine’s readiness to begin the escalation of the armed conflict in Donbass at any time, DPR People’s Council deputy Oleg Onopko commented on such statements by Ukrainian officials.

“Judging by the statements made by Defense Minister of Ukraine Sergey Krivonos and Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Andrei Zagorodniuk, the possibility of launching a military operation against the Republics of Donbass and their civilians is being publicly considered at the highest level.

After all, even though earlier the National Security and Defense Council officials hatched plans for mass political repressions and deportations, when the latter went to the press, they began to deny everything. Today, they are talking directly and openly about their readiness to resort to violence according to the “Croatian scenario.”

Allowing for such statements by his subordinates, President Zelensky deliberately fuels militaristic sentiments in the army and society, which undermines all efforts made by the parties to seek peaceful ways to terminate the conflict, and overall reduces confidence in the Ukrainian authorities,” Onopko said.
